He didn't need another combatant; what he needed was a professional "resource detection and collection expert." It seemed that no one who managed to advance to Advanced Apprentice was simple—they all had their own unique specialties.
"You'll be responsible for leading the way and gathering resources," Allen said, returning the pebble to Bruno. His tone left no room for argument. "Welcome to the team."
Bruno froze. He looked at Allen, then at Baston beside him, unable to process this sudden turn of events.
Baston, on the other hand, let out a heavy sigh of relief. A genuine smile spread across his honest face as he clapped Bruno hard on the shoulder, nearly driving his scrawny companion into the ground.
