Qin Yunwen gritted his teeth, wielding a sharp Treasure Saber as he fought with all his might. He wanted Young Master Li to see his effort, to see his struggle. He understood that Young Master Li's painstaking decision was to give them a chance to temper themselves, and Qin Yunwen and the others actually enjoyed this kind of trial.
He cut down another charging enemy with a single slash. 'In the Qin Family, if you want to get ahead, you have to show you have the skills to back it up,' Qin Yunwen thought. 'I, Qin Yunwen, will never be content to stay subordinate to others. I have to work hard! I have to get stronger!'
In battle, even a momentary lapse in concentration can have devastating consequences. Two disciples from the Iron-blooded Hall, bathed in blood—one with a severed arm, the other with a sword run through his right chest—stumbled towards Qin Yunwen in the chaos. They both saw the despair in each other's eyes.
