This whole scene just feels... wrong.
Aaron Sinclair looked up at the sky. 'There's no way Mom and Dad didn't see that eye earlier, right? So why are they so calm, acting like nothing happened? They're actually roasting sweet potatoes. Roasting sweet potatoes!'
He walked over to them, and once he was standing right beside them, Aaron Sinclair waved a hand in front of their faces.
Seeing their son's little hand waving there, Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant simultaneously looked up at him.
"What's up?"
Their son's voice was low. "Nothing... It's just that this all feels a little unreal." 'They definitely saw it. They had to. So why aren't they showing any emotion? Monsters just appeared—actual, legendary monsters.'
Celeste Grant gently took her son's hand, pulled him closer, and pointed to a small stool nearby. "Come, sit down, son. Try the sweet potatoes your mom roasted. Your dad and I timed it perfectly. You got here at just the right moment."
