Chapter 4 - 3. Meet Dylan

Olivia's POV

"You scared the hell out of me Dylan," I yelled at my friend Dylan. He was the one who was following me. My breathing was harsh due to fear.

When I turned around to see the person who held on my shoulder I find out that it was none other than my friend Dylan who loves to crack such idiotic pranks. However, what was he doing here now? It had been two years that I had last seen or heard from him.

"You should have seen your face. It was so funny as if you have seen some ghost," he teased me before cracking down in laughter.

"Don't laugh Dylan," I throw my bag in his direction. "You are well aware about my nightmares. I just thought that it was him," dullness was visible in my voice.

Dylan who understood the dip in my voice stop laughing and held me from my shoulders. "Do you still have those nightmares?" he asked with worry-filled tone.

"Don't know," I shrugged my shoulders. "I take sleeping pills each night so I don't know-" I trailed.

He who understands the meaning of my left out words roughly run his fingers in his hairs. He was looking irritated. "I will never leave that bastard," he cursed.

"Between, what are you doing here?" I tried to change the topic and it worked when he sighed, shaking his head. I don't want to think about that dark past of my life nor want him to feel affected due to his anger.

"Are you going to do all talking's at the door? Wouldn't you invite me in?"

I shook my head upon hearing him and again pushed the keys in the keyhole when I feel hand of Dylan over mine who helped me in opening the door of the house and inviting himself in.

"I think you should leave this shabby looking room," he commented looking at my one-bedroom apartment.

"Stop giving your unwanted advice to me as now it will have no effect on me," I threw a pillow from sofa on his face. I slumped down on the sofa and he also followed beside me.

"Don't tell me that you sleep on this dirty sofa," he looked at my sofa with disgust and I rolled my eyes.

Dylan was quite rich and this type of shabby life does not suit him. My reaction to this sofa was also same in the past but now I had learnt to adjust to this life and started loving this sofa which at least allow me to have a nice sleep.

"Now tell me why my majesty has decided to show his grace at my door?" I ask him sarcastically, pressing my temples.

He sighs and stood up from the sofa walking toward the chair. He pulls the chair and sits beside me. His leg accidentally touched my knee and he immediately apologised and look at me seriously. Seeing him so serious, I also sit straight and look at him with raised brows.

"I want something from you which only you can give me. I know this will not be easy but you have to do this for me."

"Stop confusing me and directly come to the point as I don't have time to waste," I half yelled at him. "I have a job where I need to go early in the morning."

He sighs and leans toward me, looking deep in my eyes. "I want you to marry someone."

"Excuse me," I look at him with disbelief. "Tell me that it was some sick joke as you very well know that I can't marry someone," I stood up from the sofa giving him a pointed look.

"Please listen to me, Livi," he pulls me from my hand again, making me sit on the sofa. "I have come here with so much hope. Only you can marry my friend and change his life. This will also change your life. Again giving you back the life you deserve. This garbage looking house is not your real place."

I shook my head upon hearing him. "I thought you are the most logical man. But I was wrong, how can you ask me to marry some stranger after what has happened with me."

"I am not talking about stranger," he signed. "The person is none other than Ethan."
