The next morning, the sky above the spirit city was bright and clear.
Yin yue and Renxue stood at the plaza infront of the popes palace. They were dressed in light training robes yin yue in white and Renxue in golden robes.
Before them stood two towering figures,
Qian jun
and
Jiang Mo douluo.
Today these two elders were going to accompany them for soul beast hunting.
Their destination was the spirit beast forest not far from the spirit city. It was not very large compared to the other spirit beast habitats on the continent but it was good.
The oldest spirit beast here were rumoured to be approaching ten thousand years old, while the youngest were said to be around hundred years old.
More importantly -
There were many light and fire attributed spirit beasts in this forest.
For Renxue's Angel and Yin yue's sun spirit, it was the perfect hunting ground for both of them.
Both of them required thousand years old spirit rings.
And with two spirit douluos present it was not different from taking a walk in their back garden.
They did not take any carriage.
Qianjun simply stepped forward and effortlessly lifted Qian Renxue up with one hand.
Jiang Mo did the same for Yin yue.
The next moment -
Ground left behind, slowly beneath their feet as they howered in the air.
Wind roared.
And the four figures shot in the air.
Clouds parted as they flew towards the forest at and astonishing speed, the world beneath them blurred into syreeks of green and blue.
Yin yue looked down, cold wind brushing against his face, his long golden hairs flowing like a waterfall of light.
It was not the first time he was flying, but everytime he flew it reminded him that -
Power changed perspective and everything.
For ordinary people this journey might take a whole day but for a title douluo it was just a matter of less than a hour that too with these children slowing them down.
Behind him Renxue's eyes focused forward.
Calm.
Resolute.
Unwavering.
After flying for nearly two hours the vast forest came into view.
Endless waves of vast trees stretched towards the horizon, even from the sky faint noice of spirit beasts could be heard from within the forest.
The moment they descended -
The air changed.
Heavier.
Hotter.
Alive.
Qianjun released Renxue from his arms, placing her gently onto the ground.
Jiang Mo lowered yin yue besides her.
Without speaking both the title douluos released their spiritual senses.
Invisible waves spread outwards across the forest.
Flying birds.
Low level spirit beasts.
Within moments, some powerful auras were detected deep inside the forest.
Jiang Mo slowly opened his eyes and looked at both of the children. A slight chuckle escaped his lips.
"It seems like both of you are in very extraordinary luck today."
Yinyue raised his brow in confusion
"What do you mean, uncle jiang mo"
Before Jiang mo could answer, Qian jun looked at his little brother and spoke in a calm tone.
"No time to explain, let's go before this golden opportunity slips from our hands"
Without wasting another word, both the title douluos grabbed the children and vanished into the forest like streaks of light.
Renxue and yinyue barely had time to react before the scenery blurred infront of their eyes.
Wind roared past their ears as ancient trees disappeared behind them.
When they finally stopped, both the uncle and niece were left dizzy because of the sudden acceleration.
They were now hidden behind thick trees at the age of a forest clearing.
Yin yue was about to ask what happened when jiang mo raised a hand signalling him to keep quiet.
" Shh... Stay quiet. Look ahead"
He gestured towards the clearing.
From behind the trees they saw it.
Four spirit beasts.
Two of them were locked in a battle.
The first was a massive bird it's wings shining with golden light, and were very large like they could blow you away with one flap.
Opposing it was a very big and large horned beast, wreathed in golden flames. It's hooves crushing the earth beneath it.
The shock waves from their battle cracked the trees and scorched the ground.
Behind them two small beasts kitten like in appearance stood silently.
Their snow white for shimmering with golden radiance of the sun.
They were not participating in the fight , they were were supporting.
Yin yue's eyes widened slightly.
"Aren't they ..."
But jiang mo cut him off with a low laugh.
"That's why I said your luck is very good today. All four of these are either light or fire attributed spirit beasts and every single one of them is over a thousand years old."
Qianjun nooded in agreement.
"These beasts are indeed perfect for your spirit rings"
Yin yue narrowed his eyes and analysed carefully.
"If I am not mistaken, the two spirit beast fighting should be golden winged roc and blazing horned beast"
He observed their size and aura carefully.
"Judging by their size.., the rock should be around four to five thousand years, and the horned beast should be approaching six thousand years."
He paused slightly.
"They are perfect for our second spirit rings, the roc for Renxue and the horned beast for me"
"And the kitten like spirit beasts behind them, what are they" Renxue asked looking confused.
Yin yue looked at the little beasts carefully and spoke.
"They are sacred light kittens, although not very special but they are very important among light and fire attributed spirit beasts.
Because rather than powerful offensive abilities they possess very strong support and healing type abilities"
"And their age" Qian jun asked.
"And judging by their size they should be roughly around two thousand years, they are very suitable for our first spirit rings" yin yue answered without hesitation and stopped after explaining about the spirit beasts.
Silence followed for a moment, then
Jiang mo laughed.
"It seems the countless hours you spent in the library were not wasted"
Even Qianjun allowed himself a faint smile.
Because Yin yue had not only talent.
They had knowledge.
And composure.
