Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: The fate of Ren Saito.

Haruka stared at Saito as he found him in the corner of 4rth floor, the same spot where he found those ciphers written with blood.

Haruka began talking, in a worried and scared tone.

"Saito? What are you doing in here?"

Saito's eyes were bloodshot. He was drooling.

Saito looked at Haruka and replied in a tired tone as if he just woke up from a long sleep.

"Haruka... Oh... I was just, well, following a shadow thinking it was Kafka and then I lost conscious and you woke me up."

Haruka seemed relieved as he saw Saito himself and not taken over by the void. But he wasn't sure about it.

Haruka began saying made up things and seeing if it's really Saito or not.

"Saito, we have to be quick. Jonathan and Zero is waiting. They want to execute me. Have you mastered water elemental powers perfectly?"

Saito simply nodded barely giving any reactions. But seemed like he was trying to.

"Oh.. Them... Yeah... Alright."

He seemed tired but at the same time not himself.

Haruka asked.

"Us till the end?"

Saito replied.

"Yes? Oh... Yeah."

Haruka stopped mid stairs while going down. Looking back at Saito who was walking behind him.

Haruka asked once again.

"Do... You know Chris wants to slap the fuck out of you and make you drop dead?"

That was the most random lying question he could come up with.

Saito replied,

"Him? Yes... I see everything... I can see everything.

But Haruka knew, Chris wasn't even someone they knew. A made up name. Why would Saito agree on that? The question kept bugging him.

It didn't take much time for him to realize that it wasn't Saito.

They reached the ground floor.

Haruka stopped as Saito stood beside him.

Haruka looked at his bloodshot eyes and asked.

"The king can see everything but... Can he hear everything?..."

Saito slowly turned his head towards Haruka and looked back into his eyes.

"Pretty smart aren't you?"

Haruka's heart began beating faster. A rush of adrenaline. He hated the fact that he has to force himself to believe the truth. It was Saito. The king is here.

Haruka maintained distance as he walked backwards. He summoned a big black cube using Wrath's Artwork.

He didn't knew what it was, he wanted to summon his wand but ended up with a cube. So he put it down and sat on it whilst facing Saito.

"I'm a bit too late... But I will free Saito. He-"

Saito... Or shall we say, The King spoke.

"Shush mortal! Or immortal? I don't care. Neither do I care about your moral speech about friendship. This vessel is mine to use and mine to have. And I suspect, you must be the piece?"

Haruka's tone filled with guilt, regression, embarrassment and sadness. He replied.

"I don't know what the fuck you are talking about but... I can't afford to lose another Saito. He might not be the one I know but..."

Haruka stood up and the black cube just began changing it's shape growing a tall stick-like figure out of it's body. Haruka caught and raised it. It must be a weapon from Wrath's Artwork.

Haruka continued his speech.

"He is still Saito... I will have to save him."

Saying that Haruka rushed towards The King with the hammer like weapon that he wields.

The King dodged it the hit effortlessly and said.

"You can't hit nothing. "

Haruka's hammer now on the ground. Suddenly he felt immense pain on his wrist, blood bursts out of the veins situated in his wrists. It gets mixed with the Hammer. And it suddenly gets turned into Haruka's staff. Which in fact had a weird look now. Haruka's pain went away as he healed using Wrath's Artwork.

Haruka summoned countless tiny supernovas around him, ready to shoot at The King.

The King began laughing at the sight. The King's body, Saito, began changing. The whole body began transforming into a pitch black being.

A humanoid creature of Saito's height. But fully pitch black. No eyes, no mouth, no nose, no ears, nothing was visible, but just a pitch black being.

It caught Haruka off guard. As The King kept laughing, Saito's voice was being distorted.

Haruka felt a mixture of emotions. Vangeance, care, fear, hatred, worry.

All of them together, rushing inside of him.

Haruka's eyes began burning, yet there was a strange kind of soothing comfort whilst burning.

His eye lens now blended between Erythal crimson and Chrono split, creating a perfect yin yang symbol but with red and blue. Both of his eyes.

Haruka's nose began bleeding as the reality in his perspective began shifting.

An extra layer was added to his field of vision.

4 layers.

Width, length, height, and another layer which is unnamed.

But he still saw everything in 3 layers, but, with an extra layer. It was hard to explain what he was seeing.

The King noticed Haruka's nose bleed, knowing he was weakened—he launched a punch.

Before it hit Haruka's cheek, he raised his hand out of desperation. As if he saw it coming—but it didn't help.

As the punch landed Haruka fell on the floor. Still struggling to see what happened. Suddenly, another layer was added in his field of vision. It was 5d now.

His eyes began bleeding.

The King steps on his mouth as he asked.

"Is the piece struggling with his powers? The council seems to go hard on you... You can die now."

Saying that, he raised his leg and stepped hardly on Haruka's face. Again. Again. And on the 4rth time. Haruka jumped from the ground.

The King looked at him, Haruka was floating.

A pair of wings growing out of his back.

The right side of the wing was white.

And the left side of the was dark.

Haruka couldn't adapt. The King began floating as well, without wings. He was flying with no help of any other objects.

Haruka tried to heal his wounds with Wrath's Artwork but turns out it doesn't work where ever he was hit with The King's fist.

"Nothing can't be healed, " Said The King as he put his hands inside of his head like a portal and dragged out a dark-purple gradient crown. He then wears it.

Haruka couldn't get anything. Whatever he was seeing didn't make any sense in his perspective, he tried his best to turn it of.

But the jester's eyes could see, not as much as the great eye, but it could see a lot.

The King dragged a sword out of stomach just like he dragged out his crown last time.

He rushed towards Haruka.

Haruka's wings began flapping as he dodged it, but he hits the wall beside him.

He was struggling to control his vision and wings at the same time.

Haruka summoned his staff. He began throwing those tiny supernovas desparetly wherever he thought he saw The King.

But during this, the building was more damaged than it previously was.

And the supernovas that hit The King seemed to be sucked inside of him.

Haruka was so desperate as his eyes became teary. The King was disappointed. He kept toying Haruka.

Haruka began trying his best to turn the 5d vision off. But he failed.

The King launched towards Haruka with his sword, which in fact was also pitch black.

Haruka suddenly saw everything in slow motion. Nothing made sense.

He felt more pain in his eyes. His nose bleeding—as his lens turned into a light of violet. It was glowing a bit for some reason.

Haruka could see everything normally but... There were a bit purplish effect in his vision.

He saw outlines of The King approaching him. One of the outlines showed The King's sword piercing through Haruka's chest.

Haruka thinks it might be something close to Chrono Split. He punched the outline of The King's in the face.

As he landed the punch, things went back to normal and the outlines blended with the King's movement. The punch landed. But it wasn't powerful enough to throw him away. The sword pierced through Haruka's chest.

Haruka pushed The King away as he felt pain. The King kept laughing.

Haruka was struggling to balance with his wings. He knew those wings were one of the powers by the Sins' Artworks or Virtues' Artworks.

He used his light magic, unsteady and slow but, it turns out to heal the damage that wrath's artwork couldn't.

He slowly kept adapting to his powers. Haruka kept realizing how similar both of the Saitos are, from his universe and from Alexo-verse.

Maybe βHaruka wasn't wrong. He was right.

The King flew up and began hitting Haruka's head with his sword. Haruka managed to throw the sword away but it didn't help because The King kept punching and Haruka's staff was on air, levitating.

The King delivered a final punch on Haruka as he fell on the ground.

Haruka's eyes barely open... His eyes bleeding. A smile over face as he realized something. It was too cold in here....

Haruka began whispering softly.

"Saito... I'm sorry... I reay am... But I don't think I will live... I don't think I can save you... Please forgive me... I love you bro... Even now I can feel you smile... Be mad at stupid things. "

The King saw a perfect moment, he punched a hole through Haruka's chest. His hands pierced inside Haruka's chest.

Haruka weakly chuckled as he caught The King's head...

He mumbled,

"Im sorry Saito... I really am...PLEASE Saito come bak... I am begging you. "

He was sobbing and coughing blood as the king was about to pull his hands away... But Haruka held him tightly... A lot of immense pressure and darkness was being gathered around Haruka's palm which was on The King's face now.

The King was taken aback.

"Huh? Are you sure you are redy to sacrifice your own friend? But nothing can't be destroyed by something ."

Haruka's vision was blurry as supernovas began gathering around the palm with the Darkness. Those were tiny and kept exploding. The explosions were against Haruka's hands because supernovas get sucked inside of The King, so the exosion does damage to both.

The King's laugh didn't fade away.

The King fell on ground... Too weak to heal. Half of his face was blown, showing Saito's face... Which was now skinned... His eyes teary as he stared at Haruka, who's wings were now flapping as he floated and his wounds were being healed with light magic. Haruka's eyes were teary... The King kept laughing as if he didn't lose, he achieved what he wanted...

The King said, his voice weakened now, more of Saito's voice, "Nothingness doesn't die... You lose Miyamaru!"

He spit on Haruka's face that barely reached.

Haruka kept healing slowly and steadily.

Haruka stared at Saito who's eyes were opened as it stared at him. Teary eyes. Glittering.

Saito was surely dead.. But his eyes were opened. His face burnt and skinned. The crown was beside him.

Haruka was too tired as he might pass out soon... But somebody was crying... Loudly...

"M-MY KING!... MY KING!!! WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME!?"
