The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs
Once upon a time, there lived a poor farmer in a small village. One day, he found a beautiful goose in his yard. To his surprise, the goose laid an egg made of pure gold. At first, the farmer thought it was a trick, but when he sold the egg in the market, he became very happy to see that it was real gold.
Every day, the goose laid one golden egg. Slowly, the farmer became rich. However, as time passed, he grew greedy. He thought, "Why should I wait for one egg a day? If I cut open the goose, I can get all the golden eggs at once."
Driven by greed, the farmer killed the goose and cut it open. But sadly, he found nothing inside. There were no golden eggs at all. The farmer realized his mistake, but it was too late. He lost the goose and his daily golden egg forever.
