Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: A New Dungeon

Packing up overnight, Roy smoothly moved into the main base of the Astraea Familia—Stardust Garden.

Before dealing with the Rudra Familia, caution was essential. He had no intention of getting stabbed in his sleep or waking up surrounded by dozens of people.

Although the Astraea Familia had fallen into decline, its former foundation still remained. Roy could clearly feel that the number of city guards around Starlight Garden had increased significantly.

They were members of the Ganesha Familia.

Despite having a rather unreliable chief god, no one dared underestimate this familia. In terms of numbers alone, the Ganesha Familia reigned supreme in Orario. More than that, they possessed eleven Level 5 adventurers, with a faction rank of S, enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with Orario's largest familias—the Loki Familia and the Freya Familia.

Roy saw the captain of the Ganesha Familia, the Level 5 adventurer known as "The Elephant God's Staff," Shakti Varma, talking with Ryuu at the entrance. The two had forged a deep friendship during the Great Feud.

False followers gather at one's peak; true friendship is revealed at dusk—those words felt especially fitting for Ryuu at this moment.

With the Ganesha Familia providing protection, even if the Rudra Familia had lived long enough, they wouldn't dare cause trouble at Starlight Garden.

Roy slept soundly, peacefully replenishing the stamina he had expended in the Dungeon.

Seven or eight hours later, he slowly woke up and stepped out of his room. With the familia wiped out, the place felt empty. He felt awkward using anyone else's room, so he had chosen an unused guest room instead.

After washing up, Roy entered the spacious courtyard, where the blonde elf girl was already waiting.

"You're too slow!" the elf girl said unhappily.

Roy really wanted to give her a thumbs-up. Sure, you're impressive, you're noble, you're Level 4—what about me?

Receiving a god's blessing and leveling up meant a comprehensive enhancement of one's physical abilities. It wasn't mere strengthening, but evolution. High-level adventurers could practically be considered another species altogether—three to four hours of sleep was enough to equal seven or eight hours for ordinary people.

Roy said, "Why are you in such a hurry? You can't rush a good thing. You should understand that better than anyone."

The elf girl's face tightened, as if she wanted nothing more than to charge out immediately and slaughter every Dark Faction dog under the sky.

"Let's go!"

Roy tapped the panel that only he could see.

While waiting for public opinion to ferment, Roy needed to build up his own strength. Dealing with the Rudra Familia wasn't just about repaying a favor—it was also pressure he placed on himself.

The dungeon he selected was the giant dungeon from yesterday.

Paradis Island — Wall Maria

Light shimmered as space warped. After the spatial transfer, Roy and Ryuu appeared in a secluded alley.

Roy peeked outside. Everything looked peaceful and serene. People bustled through the streets, the scene resembling a paradise. No one had realized what was about to happen.

"Hide your pointy ears. I like them, but people here won't accept them," Roy said.

"I know!"

Ryuu pulled her hood over her small head. She pretended not to hear the latter half of his comment—she had already grown used to this boy's nonsense.

Roy then strode out openly. Both the DanMachi world and Paradis Island shared a medieval aesthetic, so his clothing and appearance didn't draw much attention.

Roy found an open restaurant. After all, people were made of iron and food was steel—breakfast came first.

After glancing at what others were eating, Roy had a rough idea and called out, "Boss, six loaves of bread, two bowls of carrot soup, and meat sauce."

Seeing unfamiliar faces, the owner wasn't particularly enthusiastic. He nodded and returned to the kitchen.

"Where are the monsters?"

Ryuu sat down beside Roy, scanning the surroundings with a frown.

"Relax, they'll be here soon," Roy replied impatiently, feeling like she was even more anxious than he was.

The system's intelligence couldn't be wrong—the wall-breaking duo was probably already outside the wall.

"I'll explain the enemy first. This time, the monsters are Titans…" Roy proceeded to explain the detailed information about Pure Titans to the elf girl.

She listened with her mouth slightly open. "So basically, they're massive in size, slow-moving, special monsters whose weak point is the back of the neck?"

Roy nodded, unsurprised by her reaction. In this world, Pure Titans ranged from three meters tall to as much as fifteen meters.

To put it into perspective—

The Floor Boss Goliath on the seventeenth floor of the Dungeon was only seven meters tall. Among Pure Titans, that would merely be average height.

Of course, in terms of actual strength, Goliath was a genuine Level 4. Even if it stood still and let dozens of Pure Titans attack together, they might not even be able to break its defense.

In theory, Ryuu had nothing to fear from ordinary Titans. Still, Roy avoided saying things like "normal Titans pose no threat to you," so as not to influence her judgment.

"What you really need to watch out for are the Abnormal Titans and the Intelligent Titans," Roy said, explaining their characteristics. Abnormal Titans possessed special traits—exceptional jumping ability, extreme speed, and so on. Since their appearance was no different from ordinary Titans, they were easy to misjudge.

Towering Titans over ten meters tall. Strange variants. Intelligent Titans that were once human.

Even as a second-class adventurer, Ryuu had never encountered anything like this. It took her a while to recover before she sighed. "Being with you always makes things feel unbelievable. If Lady Riveria were here, she'd probably be delighted."

One of the three leaders of the Loki Familia, Riveria Ljos Alf, an elven royal who left the forest to explore the unknown world—her ambition was renowned.

If she learned that such bizarre secret realms existed, she would likely stop at nothing to extract the method of entering them from Roy.

Roy smiled. "I'll be counting on you, Level 4 expert. Kill as many of those monsters as you can. You don't need to worry about the Colossal Titan or the Armored Titan."

The difficulty of taking down the Marley trio was simply too high.

Even though he was extremely tempted by the massive attribute point rewards on the panel, Roy had no concrete plans.

The Colossal Titan was practically a walking nuclear weapon. Roy suspected the dungeon's LV.5 upper limit was largely because of it. The Armored Titan's combat power was roughly Level 4—still not something Ryuu could handle alone.

Before long, a young waiter brought their breakfast and placed it on the table.

Roy grabbed a loaf of bread, dipped it in meat sauce, alternating bread and soup as he devoured it. With his mouth full, he said indistinctly, "Don't hold back. I'm not the kind of black-hearted boss who expects the horse to run without feeding it."

The elf girl across from him hesitated before picking up a piece of bread and taking small, delicate bites. Her movements carried an innate elegance unique to elves—something etched into her very bones.
