Chapter 2 - First Step On The Future

"I've learned everything…" Lucky whispered.

"But how do I get out of here?"

He wandered around the room, searching for a door. A crack. Anything.

There was nothing.

No exits. No holes. Just shelves and silence.

Tired and disappointed, Lucky slowly sat down in the center of the room.

Then his eyes fell on the circle beneath him.

"…Wait."

He leaned closer.

"This palm…" he muttered. "It's the same symbol from the last book I read."

His heart skipped a beat.

"If I remember right…" "The book was called Blood Arts: Godhood."

Lucky stood up, his eyes sharp now.

"So this is it."

The way out wasn't a door.

It was the circle itself.

"According to the book," he said quietly, "I need my blood on my palm and place it on the circle to leave."

He paused.

"And to return…" "I have to die."

A strange silence filled the room.

Lucky frowned and looked back at the shelves on the right.

"Come to think of it…" "There are only five sections."

All of them were about blood arts. Massive, heavy books filled the shelves.

"But only three books is different."

He walked closer, studying them. "At the very bottom…" "Blood Arts: Royalty."

He looked up.

"And at the very top…" "Blood Arts: Godhood."

His gaze shifted to the middle.

"But the three sections in between…" "Each has only one book."

Unlike the others, these books weren't split into countless techniques.

Everything was contained inside a single volume.

Lucky swallowed.

"…Just what kind of power did I step into?"

"The three books in the middle…" Lucky murmured.

"They're all about regeneration and enhancement."

He nodded to himself as he read.

"They're support-type arts," he realized. "They activate through meditation."

Lucky glanced at the titles. "It's pretty obvious, really."

Blood Arts: Recovery.

Blood Arts: Ascension.

Blood Arts: Army.

"Recovery heals the body," he said quietly.

"And it activates on its own."

"Ascension strengthens the body," he continued. "That one activates through meditation."

He hesitated before reading the last one. "And Army…" "It turns blood into clones."

Lucky exhaled slowly.

"They only have a quarter of my strength." "And that one has to be activated manually."

He closed the book and sat back.

The books that were divided into countless techniques were different.

"These…" Lucky said slowly, "are offensive arts."

He reached for the lower shelves first.

Blood Arts: Royalty. "This one turns blood rock-solid," he read. "Like steel… no, even stronger."

Technique after technique filled the shelves, each one focused on shaping blood into weapons and armor.

Then Lucky looked up. At the very top—Blood Arts: Godhood.

His breath caught.

"This one…" he whispered, "lets me control blood freely."

Not just his own.

As he willed it.

He glanced back at the circle on the floor.

"The palm…" "It's part of Godhood."

A chill ran through him.

"So this place wasn't just a library," Lucky said quietly. "It's a room full of cheats."

He stepped into the center of the circle once more.

"And I was meant to find this."

"Welp… that's that." Lucky stood up, clenching his fists. "Time to step into the future Earth."

He took a deep breath, a mix of excitement and fear rushing through him.

"Here I come!"

And with that, he stepped forward, ready for whatever awaited him.

But nothing went as Lucky expected.

The moment he set foot on Earth, humans scattered in fear, screaming as they ran.

Superhumans appeared almost instantly, their eyes filled with hostility, and attacked him.

Lucky froze, confused and overwhelmed.

He didn't understand why—until he caught his reflection in a nearby mirror.

"What... Have I become?"
