Bone shattered. Regenerated. And shattered again.
Arthur felt it.
The rhythm. The flow.
Even as his body failed, his intent grew clearer. He adjusted angles. Timed his projections between movements. Used Manifest Intent to pin limbs for a fraction of a second before striking elsewhere.
But the boss adapted too.
Shockwaves erupted with every swing now, disrupting Arthur's footing, punishing every reckless step. Each mistake earned pain.
Arthur was thrown again.
And again.
Each time he stood back up slower than before.
The awakeners watched with clenched teeth and shaking hands.
"He won't stop."
"He's not giving in."
"Even now…"
Arthur's breaths came ragged as he wiped blood from his mouth once more. His legs trembled, but his eyes burned brighter than ever.
"This isn't over," he whispered. "Not yet."
The boss lunged, halberd crashing down with enough force to split the ground.
