Chapter 1 - DO NOT CONSIDER THE SMALL TO BE MEAN

No matter how small someone is, it is not right to consider them mean or helpless. Even if they are small, there might be something to learn from them. One should not judge a person by their size, but by their wisdom and intellect.

The lion is the king of the forest. Brave and strong. Everyone respects him and is afraid of him. Once, a lion was sleeping comfortably in the shade of a tree, snoring loudly. A small mouse cub came running and climbed onto the lion. It danced, jumped, and played on its back to its heart's content. The lion's sleep broke with a start. He roared in anger, glared with his eyes, and said, "Who are you? How dare you? Do you think my back is a playground? Today you will not escape. I will have you for breakfast."

The mouse was terrified and panicked. Crying and with folded hands, it pleaded, "You are so big, like a king. I am so small. Eating me will not fill your stomach. I am of no use to you. Please let me go. One day or another, I will help you."

The lion took pity on the mouse and let it go. A few days passed. One day, while the lion was roaming in the forest, he fell into a hunter's trap. No matter how much he tried, he could not escape. He roared loudly. The mouse was passing by that way. Seeing the lion caught in the trap, it said, "Maharaj! Have patience. I will free you. With my sharp teeth, I will cut the trap into pieces."

Immediately, the mouse got to work. The lion was freed, yawned, and stretched. He put the mouse on his back and roamed throughout the forest. The lion thought to himself, the elders were right, 'Do not consider the small to be mean, the small possess good qualities.'
