Gareth clenched his fists.
His eyes were bloodshot.
"Come."
The word was almost a growl.
"Let me see whether Zeon's student truly deserves to inherit his name."
Across from him, Leon remained completely silent.
He stood alone above the Heavenly Abyss.
The Supreme Demon Sword was beneath his feet.
Its ancient surface reflected the cold light of the lightning.
The sword did not tremble.
Leon did not tremble either.
His purple eyes quietly examined the enormous formation above him.
Ten thousand bolts of lightning.
An imposing display.
Enough to make almost anyone hesitate.
But Leon merely tilted his head slightly.
"So this is your answer?"
His voice was calm.
There was no mockery in it.
That almost made it worse.
Gareth's expression darkened.
Leon slowly lifted his foot.
The moment his sole left the Supreme Demon Sword—
the sword trembled.
A faint hum passed through the air.
Then Leon's figure moved.
He did not retreat.
He did not dodge.
