Chapter 10 - Chapter 9 Abel's Enlightenment Textbook

Inside the Occult Research Club.

Koneko sat on Abel's lap, her face flushed, murmuring, "Senior, you're such a pervert."

Her head was being stroked by a large hand, the owner of which was Abel. After all, Koneko was so cute; a little petting wouldn't hurt.

Sona and Rias were drinking tea brewed by Akeno, and there were desserts made by Tsubaki Shinra on the table.

Sona's peerage members were gathered, playing card games.

Kiba Yuto stood behind Rias like a knight.

After a while, Abel released Koneko.

He then asked, "Sona, Rias, is there something you need?"

"Of course there is. My brother said you went back to the Underworld yesterday to get the Devil Pieces."

"That's right, what about it?" Facing Rias's question, Abel admitted, "I'm also planning to participate in this year's Rating Game."

"Isn't it too late to recruit peerage members now?" Sona asked, a bit worried.

"Do you need our help to find some?" Rias also chimed in.

It wasn't surprising that they were worried.

After all, most of their peerage members had been cultivated since childhood, and there was only one year left until the Rating Game began.

If he started recruiting peerage members now, they weren't sure if he'd have enough time.

So, they were all a bit concerned about the combat power of Abel's chosen peerage.

"Don't worry about that. I've already found suitable peerage members, and their strength is quite good," Abel said with a smile.

His Queen, Grayfia, and the slacking Miko.

Normally, Miko, as the protagonist of a world, should have great potential.

And even if she couldn't win, it wouldn't matter; his Queen could basically sweep through everything.

Wait!

I forgot something, my little peerage member!

"Please wait a moment, both of you. I'm going to pick someone up."

"Eh!?"

Hearing Abel's words, everyone was stunned. Abel snapped his fingers and vanished from the sofa.

On the other side.

Miko paid the taxi fare with tears in her eyes. To get there as quickly as possible, Miko's pocket money had shrunk by more than half.

"Is this Kuoh Academy? Where do I find him now?"

Miko looked around the entrance of Kuoh Academy.

Just as Miko was feeling troubled, a sudden flash of white light appeared before her, and Abel materialized.

"I almost forgot about you, but you arrived quite fast," Abel said with a smile.

Hearing Abel's words, Miko looked at him with a wronged expression: "Lord Abel, to get here, I spent almost all my pocket money."

Abel was stunned. It was the first time he'd heard of a devil who was distressed about money...

Uh... he had just reincarnated her last night.

Abel patted her head, "Don't worry, I'll compensate you later."

"But for now, come meet my colleagues."

"Eh!?"

Before Miko could react, Abel picked her up and began to teleport.

The next second, Abel was back in the Club with Miko in tow.

Everyone gathered around, wanting to see what was different about this little one that she could catch Abel's eye.

Abel introduced her to everyone: "This is one of the peerage members I've found, Miko."

"Hello everyone, I am Miko, Lord Abel's ordinary pawn."

Miko bowed to them.

Looking at the girl in front of them, Rias and the others greeted her.

"Hello, I am Sona Sitri, Abel's fiancée~"

"Rias Gremory, Abel's childhood friend."

"Oh my~ I'm Akeno, Rias's Queen. So you're Abel's peerage member."

"Koneko."

"Tsubaki Shinra."

"..."

Everyone introduced themselves.

Seeing how friendly everyone was, Miko's anxious heart calmed down.

She also got to know them.

When asked how she became a devil, Miko truthfully explained.

When they heard that she had nothing to trade because she had summoned Abel, and thus became his peerage member, Rias and Sona looked at Abel with strange expressions.

How could he deceive someone? But no one said anything; peerage members were meant to be found and persuaded by oneself.

Abel, being stared at, scratched his head awkwardly.

However, what Abel needed to consider now was to have Miko begin learning how to control the magic power within her, as she had just become a devil and didn't know some things yet.

After she mastered her magic power, and learned teleportation magic, she could start distributing her flyers and accumulate a certain amount to complete the probationary devil assessment. Then, before the full moon night, she could go to the Demon Forest to obtain a familiar.

That would make her a qualified low-class devil.

Abel then took out his introductory textbook, "Magic Power Structure Formula," from his spatial storage.

This was the introductory textbook given by his elder brother.

"Oh, right, Miko, this is for you. Study hard and try to learn teleportation magic as soon as possible."

Abel handed the textbook to Miko.

"Magic Power Structure Formula?" Miko looked at the book and began to read.

Soon, her face turned a little ugly.

She understood every word in the book, but when put together... what was this?

When Rias and Sona saw that book, their expressions changed. Wasn't that something only taught in Underworld Devil Middle School?

"Abel, are you sure this is an introductory textbook?"

"Yeah, Abel, did you pick up the wrong one?"

Rias and Sona both spoke, which left Abel bewildered.

"No, it's not. This was given to me by my elder brother."

Rias and Sona exchanged glances, looking at Abel with some pity but saying nothing. They silently took out a thick book.

"Basic Knowledge of Magic Power Utilization."

Looking at the title, it was Abel's turn to be utterly bewildered.

Looking at the book in his hand and the books Rias and the others had, he fell silent. He quietly took Rias's book and opened it to read.

Comparing the content of the two books, Abel was silent for a moment, then suddenly felt that the Underworld was not worth it.

If this was an introductory book, then what was his book?

What did his elder brother say when he was desperately trying to learn that thing back then?

"You're my, Ajuka's, younger brother. You can't even understand something so simple?"

That sentence deeply hurt his young self back then, so he started pre-studying high school knowledge at kindergarten age?

But on second thought...

His elder brother was a genius who developed the Devil Pieces and independently completed the Conqueror Formula, so "Magic Power Structure Formula" was indeed an introductory textbook in his eyes.

Then everything made sense.

Now, Abel silently rested his head on Akeno's lap, wanting to be left alone and comforted.

Seeing Abel in an EMO state, everyone smiled.

Rias also handed the book in her hand to Miko.

"Miko, this book is about the basic knowledge of how to use magic power, and this one is for teleportation magic. Try to finish learning them early."
