Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: I'm Also Doing This for Your Own Good

One of the five teachers stepped out and walked toward the position of class five.

The freshmen were instantly stunned when they saw him.

This teacher was simply too handsome.

He stood over 1.9 meters tall, with a lean and upright physique. His lake-blue hair reached his waist, his nose was high and straight, his lips were thin and well-proportioned, and his amber eyes sparkled with Martial Soul.

His white clothes accentuated his cold and aloof temperament.

Arthur squinted slightly; seeing him in person was better than any rumor—Wu Zhangkong was indeed very handsome.

But compared to himself, he was still a bit lacking.

"Follow me!" Those three simple words sent a chill from the bottom of every student's heart.

"The teacher seems really strong... This aura..." a student couldn't help but exclaim. Just his aura was already this powerful.

This wasn't just an aura.

Arthur thought silently.

Unlike the other freshmen, he realized this chill came from Wu Zhangkong's Soul Power. This was a way of pulling the students into his rhythm.

The Soul Power in his body jolted, dispersing the chill.

Arthur followed along with the other students.

class five was located at the innermost part of the first floor, requiring the longest walk.

"Take your seats!" Wu Zhangkong's voice was cold.

Same as usual, Arthur chose a seat in the back row by the window.

As he sat down, he caught a glimpse of Zhou Changxi sitting in front of him and immediately flashed him a smile.

Noticing Arthur's smile, Zhou Changxi shuddered, having a bad premonition. He instinctively stood up to change seats, only to find that everyone else had already found their places.

The moment he stood up, the eyes of the whole class turned toward him, and Wu Zhangkong noticed him as well.

Under Wu Zhangkong's icy gaze, Zhou Changxi had no choice but to sit back down immediately after standing up.

Walking behind the podium, Wu Zhangkong's gaze swept across the room, and the slightly noisy class fell silent instantly.

"I am Wu Zhangkong, your teacher for the next six years."

"Don't overthink the rules for class placement. Even if you are the worst students, I will train you to become powerful."

His cold and arrogant tone surprised the entire class.

"Next, we will begin self-introductions. Name, Martial Soul, Soul Power Rank, and what kind of Soul Master you want to become. Starting from this row, one by one!"

Simple and direct; Wu Zhangkong didn't like wasting time and prioritized efficiency.

He pointed casually, indicating Arthur's row.

The first was Yun Xiao. He stood up and introduced himself: "Hello everyone, my name is Yun Xiao. My Martial Soul is the Star Map, Rank twelve. My goal is to become an intellectual support-type Battle Spirit Master." His voice trembled slightly, perhaps due to nervousness?

Then it was Tang Wulin's turn.

"Tang Wulin, Martial Soul Blue Silver Grass, Rank eleven Soul Power. My goal is..." Tang Wulin paused, "I don't know."

He was also very confused and didn't know what to do.

"A trash Martial Soul, well that's normal. Haha, if I had a trash Martial Soul, I wouldn't know what to do either," a student mocked.

"Swish!" Wu Zhangkong threw a piece of chalk, which landed right in that student's mouth.

This chalk seemed to have a life of its own, drilling into the student's mouth and making him gag.

"In this World, there are no trash Martial Souls, only trash people," Wu Zhangkong said coldly. "Before calling others trash, look at yourself. You're all in the same class; aren't you trash too?"

No trash Martial Souls, only trash people?

Arthur felt that the Holy Sword inside him didn't quite agree.

To the Holy Sword, as long as the user was human, even if they were complete trash, they could still soar.

This was the confidence of a Holy Sword wielder.

"Continue!" Unlike his previous words, Wu Zhangkong added Soul Power this time. The whole class was as silent as cicadas in winter.

"My name is Zhou Changxi. My Martial Soul is the Vigorous Giant Ape, Rank eleven Soul Power. My goal is to become a power-type Battle Spirit Master."

Next was Arthur's turn. He stood up to introduce himself.

"Arthur, Martial Soul Excalibur, Rank thirty-two Soul Power. My goal is to become an attack system Battle Spirit Master."

When the words "Rank thirty-two Soul Power" came out, the pupils of everyone in the class shook, and a wave of exclamations erupted. Even Wu Zhangkong's chill couldn't suppress it.

Rank thirty-two!

How distant that seemed to them. Rank thirty-two at nine years old!

They wouldn't even dare to imagine such a thing in their dreams.

Such a Genius was in the same class as them? Was class five really the worst class?

Zhou Changxi, in front of Arthur, immediately turned around to look at him, his face filled with terror.

"Rank thirty-two..." Behind the podium, Wu Zhangkong's brow furrowed.

Such a Genius could have entered Shrek Academy; how could he be assigned to class five?

"How did you end up assigned to class five?" Wu Zhangkong asked the question that was on every student's mind. Why would a nine-year-old at Rank thirty-two be in class five?

"Teacher, I came here to find you."

To find you for a fight.

Arthur didn't say the last part out loud.

Agravaine was too strong for a direct comparison, regardless of how many Ranks Agravaine said he could match.

For a true Genius, Soul Power Rank did not equal combat strength.

Since Wu Zhangkong was also at East Sea Academy, Arthur decided to have a match with this Genius-level Spirit Emperor to figure out exactly what level his own strength was at.

"Find me?" Wu Zhangkong was surprised. He really hadn't expected someone to come specifically for him. Many thoughts flashed through his mind, but he suppressed his doubts and didn't ask further. There was plenty of time ahead; he would find out the reason sooner or later.

The other students were also very curious. He came for Teacher Wu Zhangkong? Does Teacher Wu Zhangkong have some kind of incredible identity?

"Next."

With all the students' self-introductions finished.

"Formal classes begin tomorrow. My teaching method is different from other teachers. If you are afraid of hardship, exhaustion, or pain, find a way to transfer classes yourselves."

"Prepare yourselves. Class dismissed."

Wu Zhangkong turned and left.

The class instantly erupted. Some discussed their aloof and handsome teacher, Wu Zhangkong, but most were talking about Arthur, the Rank thirty-two Genius.

Seeing that it was over, Arthur also stood up to leave. Before going, he patted Zhou Changxi on the shoulder and said casually, "Remember to get along well with your classmates."

This sentence left Zhou Changxi baffled, but he still took it deep to heart.

Passing by Xie Xie, he noticed he seemed quite downcast, but Arthur ignored him.

Just another Genius crushed by him. He had seen too many.

Not to mention Xie Xie wasn't even much of a Genius; he really had his head in the clouds.

After finding his three roommates who had also finished class, he went to eat with them before returning to the dormitory.

Arthur put his arm around Zhang Yangzi's shoulder and asked, "Wei Xiaofeng didn't do anything bad in class, did he?"

"How would I dare, Brother Art?" Before Zhang Yangzi could answer, Wei Xiaofeng said with a bitter smile, "After Brother Art's guidance, I've deeply realized my mistakes. From now on, I'll turn over a new leaf and be a new man!"

"Sigh, Xiaofeng, don't blame me for meddling too much," Arthur said, spinning his twisted logic. "I'm just afraid you'll fall and become an Evil Soul Master. Then, I would have no choice but to eliminate you with my own hands."

"I'm also doing this for your own good."

Wei Xiaofeng's lip twitched. He was just a bit arrogant normally; how did he become an Evil Soul Master in your eyes?

Wang Jinxi and Zhang Yangzi beside them didn't dare to make a sound. If anyone was going to fall and become an Evil Soul Master, it seemed more likely to be Soul Masters like them who had dark attributes.

They didn't know that for Arthur, the definition of an Evil Soul Master didn't depend on their Martial Soul, but only on their actions.
