Chapter 20 - Chapter 20

The atmosphere in the Underworld shifted from a calm morning to a storm of political annihilation. While Alexander was at school, unknowingly being the subject of every girl's daydream, the elders of the Runcandel, Bael, and Agares clans were moving like a silent avalanche.

In the Runcandel estate, Grayfia was attempting to focus on her duties, but the high collar of her uniform couldn't hide the dark plum marks Alex had left. Valeria walked past, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"My, Grayfia," Valeria whispered, leaning in. "Those are some very... energetic marks. It seems my grandson has quite the appetite. Should I ask the kitchen to prepare more stamina-building meals for him?"

Grayfia's face turned so red it almost matched the Bael crest. Kuroka, who was clumsily helping with the dusting, giggled. "Nya~ Young Master is a predator, isn't he?" Grayfia could only bow her head, her heart fluttering at the memory of the bath.

The Gathering of the Old Guards

Meanwhile, in his study, Darius held a three-way magical communication with Zeckram Bael and Lord Agares.

"It's done," Darius grunted. "Alex is canceling it. He saw through the whole Gremory mess. He even asked why we didn't just pick Rias from the start."

Zeckram Bael let out a dry, ancient chuckle. "The boy has a sharp tongue and a sharper mind. He's truly my descendant."

Lord Agares laughed heartily. "He's a Runcandel through and through! Should we join you for the execution, Darius? I'd love to see Zeoticus's face when his 'golden ticket' turns to ash."

"No need," Darius replied, his eyes cold. "I'll handle the Gremorys. Zeckram, old friend, inform the New Satan Faction. The favor for the Lucifuge sisters is paid. We owe them nothing but silence now."

The Confrontation at the Gremory Mansion

A few hours later, the gates of the Gremory Mansion creaked open as Darius and Valeria stepped through. Inside, the Gremory leadership was gathered: Zeoticus, Lisana, Sirzechs, and his wife Evelyn.

Lisana moved forward to greet her sister. "Valeria! It's been too long—"

Valeria didn't even look at her, giving a curt, icy nod that stopped Lisana in her tracks. The air in the room suddenly turned heavy.

"Zeoticus," Darius growled.

Zeoticus Gremory, a man who usually carried himself with immense pride, felt his knees tremble. "Y-Yes, Lord Darius? To what do we owe this unexpected visit?"

"I am here to cancel the engagement," Darius stated flatly. "Alexander Argus Runcandel and Malty S. Gremory are finished."

The room erupted in a stunned silence. Zeoticus paled. "Why? They are doing so well! Malty speaks of him often—"

BOOM.

Darius released a fraction of his killing intent. The floorboards cracked. Evelyn and Zeoticus gasped for air, feeling as if a mountain had just dropped onto their chests. Sirzechs' eyes narrowed, his own Power of Destruction flickering, but even he looked strained.

"You dare lie to me in my face?" Darius's voice was like grinding stones. "Your daughter Malty is a common cheat. She has been frequenting hotels with a first-year named Issei Hyoudou. We have the logs. We have the photos. We have the scent."

The Gremory parents looked as if they had been slapped. Lisana's face twisted in horror and shame.

"Sirzechs," Darius turned his gaze to the Lucifer. "The favor is dead. Zeckram is informing the council as we speak. From this moment on, the Runcandels owe the Gremorys nothing but the air you're currently struggling to breathe."

Sirzechs bowed his head deeply, his voice solemn. "I understand, Lord Darius. The fault lies entirely with our house. We will accept the consequences."

The Aftermath

As Darius and Valeria walked out, leaving the Gremory family in a state of absolute ruin, Valeria sighed.

"Do you think Alex knows how much trouble he's caused?" she asked.

"He's a Dragon Monarch," Darius chuckled, the killing intent vanishing as if it were never there. "He doesn't cause trouble. He just reminds the world that he's the one in charge of the script."

Alexander's Inner Voice (Back at School):

[Internal Thought: I feel like a massive weight just lifted off my shoulders. Grandpa must have finished the call. Now, I just have to worry about my date. Should I wear the black suit or the casual blue one? Ciel, give me a fashion analysis. I can't look like a peasant for So-tan.]

Sona Sitri (In the Student Council office): (Her pen snaps) 'He's... he's officially single. It's happening. Saturday is the beginning of my life.'
