📖 Chapter 0.5 – General Information
This story takes place on a vast cultivation continent ruled by clans and sects, where strength determines status and survival. Cultivators absorb spiritual qi to strengthen themselves, extend their lifespan, and protect their clans.
Cultivation is divided into realms. Qi Cultivation focuses on filling the dantian with spiritual qi, which behaves like air or mist, and cultivators at this stage cannot use talismans. Foundation Establishment condenses qi into a semi-liquid state and grants spiritual consciousness, extending lifespan further. Gold Core forms a solid core from condensed qi, while Nascent Soul gives birth to a soul avatar and allows consciousness to extend several kilometers. Higher realms exist but are rarely seen.
Spirit roots determine how easily spiritual qi can be absorbed. Single roots are rare, dual roots are considered talented, and special roots such as Ice or Fire are uncommon but not unheard of. Talent provides potential, not certainty.
Most small clans are led by Foundation Establishment cultivators and focus on stability rather than expansion. As a clan grows stronger, its cultivation environment improves, granting members faster cultivation and better comprehension through natural resonance and arrays.
The main character, Yang Tianhen of the Yang Clan, possesses dual Water and Ice spirit roots. He begins his journey as an ordinary Qi cultivator, walking a slow and deliberate path where time, patience, and foundation matter.
