In a small village called Greyfield, there lived a boy named Arian. The village was surrounded by tall mountains and dark forests, and most people believed that magic lived inside those mountains. But Arian had never seen magic in his life. All he had seen was hunger, dust, and hard work.
Arian was poor. Very poor. His clothes were old and torn, his shoes had holes, and sometimes he had no food for the whole day. He lived in a broken wooden house with his sick mother. His father had died many years ago while working in the stone mines.
Every morning, Arian carried water from the river. Then he worked in the village fields, cleaning animal houses, or helping shopkeepers. But no matter how hard he worked, people never respected him.
"Go away, useless boy," the rich kids would say.
"You have no power, no future," the adults whispered.
In this world, power meant everything.
People were born with magic power. Some had fire power, some had wind, water, earth, or light. Even small children could use magic to lift stones or light candles. But Arian had nothing.

He was called the "Empty Boy."

One cold evening, after a long day of work, Arian walked toward the forest. His mother needed medicine, but he had no money. The healer lived near the mountain, and Arian decided to go there.
Everyone feared the mountain.
They said monsters lived there.
They said dark magic cursed the land.
But Arian was not afraid.
As he walked deeper into the forest, the air became cold and heavy. Strange sounds came from the trees. Suddenly, he tripped and fell into a small hidden cave.
Inside the cave, there was a strange blue light.
In the center of the cave, there was an old stone book.
It was floating in the air.
The book slowly opened by itself.
