Chapter 31 - Part30:Campaign to Eliminate the Inazuma Remnants on Seirai Island

Battle of Inazuma: The Last Stand of the Remnants

On the vast continent of Teyvat, the smoke of war over Inazuma City had not yet fully cleared. Yuan Shao had led his mighty army to occupy Inazuma with thunderous momentum, seizing vast swathes of its territory. Still, the surviving forces of Inazuma refused to surrender. Kamisato Ayato, Kujou Sara, Gorou, and other generals led their broken troops to flee quietly under the cover of night to nearby Seirai Island.

Seirai Island, long famous for its unique landscapes and mysterious atmosphere, was now shrouded in tense gloom as war drew near. Its inhabitants trembled with fear, but Kamisato Ayato and his allies had no time to comfort them. They immediately set about fortifying their defenses, fully aware that Yuan Shao would never let them escape—and that a brutal battle was imminent.

When Yuan Shao learned where they had fled, a cold ruthlessness flashed in his eyes.

"Just a pitiful remnant, yet they dare to resist," he muttered coldly.

He ordered his army to mobilize at once and march on Seirai Island.

Yuan Shao's fleet stretched across the ocean in a single, imposing line, like a black wall advancing toward the island.

Kamisato Ayato stood on the coast of Seirai Island, staring at the dark mass of the enemy in the distance, his brow deeply furrowed.

He turned to those beside him and said:

"Everyone, today's battle will decide whether we live or die. Though our numbers are few, we will fight to the death to defend our last home!"

Gorou nodded firmly.

Kujou Sara tightened her grip on her blade.

Arataki Itto swung his iron mace and shouted:

"What is there to fear? One comes, I crush one! Two come, I crush two!"

Yuan Shao's army soon reached Seirai Island, and a fierce landing battle erupted.

Zhang He and Gao Lan charged at the forefront, leading their soldiers straight for Kamisato Ayato's lines.

Kamisato Ayato personally commanded the defense. Graceful in posture, his sword moved like lightning; each strike took an enemy's life. Yet Zhang He and Gao Lan were formidable warriors, cutting through the Inazuma ranks like two sharp blades.

As the battle dragged on, Ayato's forces gradually fell into a disadvantage.

Zhang He and Gao Lan seized their chance and closed in on Ayato himself.

He fought desperately, but he was outnumbered and overwhelmed.

Zhang He's spear struck like a venomous snake, and Gao Lan's great sword followed close behind.

Caught off guard, Ayato was cut down by a frenzy of blades and collapsed in a pool of blood.

His eyes burned with unwillingness, but the light of life slowly faded from them.

Elsewhere, Arataki Itto clashed fiercely with Yan Liang.

Itto relied on his immense strength and agile movements to fight Yan Liang to a standstill.

But Yan Liang was a seasoned veteran with vast combat experience.

After a brutal exchange, Yan Liang spotted an opening and slashed Itto deeply with his blade.

Itto cried out in agony, fell to the ground, and breathed his last.

Watching her comrades fall one by one, Kujou Sara was overcome with despair.

She glanced at Yuan Shao's triumphant figure in the distance, then at the land being swallowed by the enemy.

Tears streamed down her face unconsciously.

Unwilling to be taken prisoner, and unable to bear the agony of Inazuma's defeat, she raised her blade and drove it resolutely into her own heart.

Blood gushed from her chest, staining her clothes. Her body slowly sank to the ground.

With deep love for Inazuma and bitter regret at their failure, she departed from this world.

Gorou charged left and right across the battlefield, trying to turn the tide, but all was in vain.

When he saw the bodies of Kamisato Ayato, Arataki Itto, and Kujou Sara, the last spark of hope in his heart was extinguished.

He fought his way out with a handful of survivors and vanished into the forests and mountains of Seirai Island.

Yuan Shao stood atop the heights of Seirai Island, overlooking the land he had conquered, a satisfied smile on his face.

Ambition glinted in his eyes as he plotted his next move.

And Seirai Island, once full of life, now reeked of death—

it had become the final graveyard of Inazuma's remnants.
