Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Bug Sister: Entoma Vasilissa Zeta

A cute young girl wearing a kimono-style maid outfit appeared before Draco's eyes.

The girl looked cute, but she emitted a strange atmosphere, the most unique part being her eyes.

Though her eyes were round, they lacked luster, as if they were fitted with low-quality glass marbles.

Her slender body was wrapped in a magically modified maid outfit, with the collar part standing up, completely obscuring her neck.

Except for her face, she didn't reveal any skin.

She was one of the battle maids of the Pleiades.

Entoma Vasilissa Zeta.

After Draco signed the contract, Entoma regained her mobility.

She knelt respectfully on one knee. "Greetings, Lord Lionel!"

Although Entoma was speaking, the mouth on her face did not open, nor did her eyes blink.

This was because her cute face was a beetle disguised to look like a human face.

Even her cute, young-girl-like voice was produced by a Mouth-Lip Bug at her throat.

Entoma's race was Arachnoid, and she was a man-eater among the maids.

She liked putting human limbs in her mouth and then spitting out the bones.

Unlike Solution, who tended to toy with her prey, Entoma's purpose in preying on humans was purely for food.

Thus, when undisturbed and full, she didn't care about humans at all, adopting an attitude of lack of interest, no dislike, and direct disregard.

She could summon various types of insects and spit spider silk with various functions for combat.

Even the vibrant hair on her head was composed of insects.

Because she hated her original voice, she liked using Mouth-Lip Bugs to steal others' voices for her own use.

Entoma was a rare Spirit Magic Caster, Level 51.

Her classes included Entomancer, Talisman User, and Insect Tamer.

She could summon: Hard-shell Beetles, Blade-wing Insects, Bullet Beetles, Mouth-Lip Bugs, etc.

Commonly used talismans: Spider Talisman, Thunderbird Talisman, Thunderbird Dance Talisman, Exploding Talisman, Sharp Cut Talisman, Piercing Wind Talisman.

..."You may rise."

Draco waved his hand, signaling Entoma to stand up.

At that moment, Siz's figure arrived from the distance.

(ps: Since Shizu's name is the same as Shizue's, I'll use the web version name, Siz.)

The duty of the Pleiades maids was to guard the supreme being every day.

But because Draco always liked to teleport everywhere, Siz often couldn't find any trace of him.

Having just learned of Draco's whereabouts, she hurried over.

"Lord Lionel!"

Siz's voice was somewhat cold and flat, owing to her race being an Automaton.

Definitely Not Because I'm Angry.

"Perfect timing—take Edoma to look around."

"Oh? If it isn't my little sis, Ai-chan!"

"…Wrong, Siz. You're the little sister."

"No, you are."

The two locked eyes, neither blinking.

Daily squabble.

No one knew who was actually older; even Draco hadn't a clue.

Since neither wanted to be the junior, fights like this were routine.

Edoma raised both hands in a threatening pose.

She tried to look as big and intimidating as possible.

The gesture carried no special power whatsoever.

To Siz, it was just another stance.

Siz, in turn, clenched her fists beneath her chin like a boxer.

But she was a gunner, hopeless in close quarters.

If it came to blows, Siz couldn't lay a finger on Edoma.

In the end, it was only playful roughhousing.

"Stop it, you two. I've got things to do."

"Since Lord Draco says so, I'll let you off this time."

"…Hmph, thank Lord Draco. Lucky you."

The pair returned to Nazarick while Draco headed for the city.

The place couldn't yet house a million, but three hundred thousand would fit easily.

The inner citadel was finished.

The outer wards were split into four: residential, industrial, commercial, and entertainment.

Residential and industrial zones were nearly complete.

Draco arrived at the central council hall—effectively the city lord's office.

Inside, suits bustled about in constant motion.

He climbed to a grand conference room on the second floor.

Albedo pored over documents, three familiar figures beside her.

One of them was Shion.

Black-rimmed glasses, black skirt-suit and heels—she looked every inch the career woman.

A real workplace powerhouse.

The other two were the Long-eared girls Draco had rescued from the black market: Sasha and Alisha.

Albedo ranked among Nazarick's brightest minds.

She could chat with Demiurge as an equal.

But the city's explosive growth had buried her in paperwork.

To lighten her load, Draco drafted an aptitude test.

Sasha and Alisha were among the new administrators selected.

The three served as Albedo's personal secretaries, supporting the chief executive.

Albedo had never done bureaucratic work before.

Yet with her intellect she mastered it in days and now directed staff with ease.

Draco also created judiciary, legislative, and logistics departments.

Ogre Tribe members headed them all—chosen for absolute loyalty.

As named monsters, their devotion was guaranteed.

The Great Tomb of Nazarick itself was overseen by the steward's aide: the Emperor Penguin, Eclair.

Nazarick's population was small; he could handle it alone for now.

Once the city stabilized, Aura and Albedo would withdraw.

The Ogre Tribe would take over, with Shion as Albedo's chosen successor.

After all, as Floor Guardians they belonged in the Great Tomb.

Draco helped Albedo decide a few issues, then left the office.

Such was the life of a boss.

Wandering about all day.

Next he dropped into the Death-Wax Chamber on the second floor.

Two magic cooldown scrolls still waited to be used.

Shalltear lounged on a sofa, legs crossed, crimson wine in hand.

Before her danced two Vampire Brides.

At Shalltear's bidding they swayed in graceful, seductive rhythm.

She really knew how to play.
