Chapter 197 - A Match Gone Wrong

After the excitement of Halloween, life at Hogwarts slowly returned to its usual rhythm.

Alexander resumed his normal schedule.

Classes during the day and spending time with Cho.

Leading Dueling Club in the evenings.

Spell practice and studying ancient runes all night into the morning.

The club had grown even larger after the Halloween performance. Many students joined, hoping to someday participate in events like the vampire show.

Alexander didn't mind, as he had Hermione as a secretary.

She was doing a job helping him organize the members and register the new members.

A week passed quickly, and soon it was Saturday again.

As usual, Alexander and Cho left the castle together for their weekly trip to Hogsmeade.

They took their usual walk through the village before eventually arriving at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop.

The small shop was cozy and warm, filled with soft music and the smell of sweets.

Cho happily ate the desserts they had ordered, while Alexander mostly drank the tea.

They chatted about random things—classes, Quidditch, funny moments that happened this week in Hogwarts.

Cho happily enjoyed the sweets and noticed Alexander took small bites of the desserts.

After a moment, she asked.

"Do you not like it?"

Alexander laughed.

"You're the only sweet thing I need."

Cho immediately blushed.

"Cheesy," she muttered quietly.

Alexander chuckled.

"I prefer Butterbeer anyway."

He leaned back and stared into her eyes.

"But I am happy to be spending time with you."

Cho smiled brightly.

Alexander continued calmly.

"We're both very busy."

He reached out and held her hand.

"I cherish these memories of us, spending time together."

Cho teased him.

"We spend a lot of time together already. Classes, meals, and evenings. How much time do you want us to spend together?"

Alexander laughed and said.

"Those times are different; there are always people around, listening, and watching us. I like it when it is just you and me."

Cho's heart started to beat faster, and she gave him a quick kiss.

Alexander kissed her back, and they both laughed.

They continued their date until all the dessert and tea were done.

They walked over to The Three Broomsticks to meet up with their friends.

The moment they arrived, the teasing began.

"Look who's here."

"The famous couple!"

"Did you two finally leave the tea shop?"

Everyone laughed.

The teasing continued for several minutes, but underneath the jokes, most of them were jealous of how close the two had become.

The group spent the rest of the afternoon talking and laughing together.

Sunday arrived quickly, and it was Quidditch day.

The stadium was packed as students gathered to watch Ravenclaw Quidditch Team versus Hufflepuff Quidditch Team.

The match barely lasted fifteen minutes.

Ravenclaw dominated the field.

Their teamwork and speed overwhelmed Hufflepuff completely.

When Cho caught the Snitch, the Ravenclaw stands erupted with cheers.

Students celebrated loudly during lunch afterward.

But the excitement wasn't over yet.

Later that afternoon came another match:

Gryffindor Quidditch Team vs Slytherin Quidditch Team.

Alexander and Cho sat together in the stands.

From the beginning, Slytherin played aggressively.

They were faster and quickly gained the lead.

Then something strange happened.

One of the Bludgers suddenly began moving wildly.

Instead of attacking players normally, it focused entirely on one person.

Harry Potter.

The rogue Bludger chased him relentlessly through the air.

The crowd gasped as Harry barely avoided several dangerous hits.

Nearby, Draco Malfoy attempted to maneuver around the chaos but quickly lost control and tumbled awkwardly because of his poor flying.

Meanwhile, the Bludger closed in again.

Harry stretched out his right arm to catch the Golden Snitch—

The Bludger smashed into his right arm.

Crack.

Even from the stands, Alexander could see the injury.

Without hesitation, he stood up and began running toward the field.

High above, Harry ignored the pain and dove down toward the Golden Snitch.

He stabilized himself and was about a few feet off the ground, chasing after the snitch.

With his left hand, he lunged forward.

His fingers closed around the Golden Snitch.

But the moment he caught it, he lost control.

Harry crashed onto the ground.

The rogue Bludger immediately dove down again, still trying to attack him.

Harry rolled desperately to dodge.

Alexander raised his wand and shouted:

"Confringo!"

The blasting spell struck the Bludger in mid-air.

BOOM.

The cursed ball exploded into pieces before it could strike Harry again.

Players, students in the stands, and professors rushed toward Harry.

Everyone crowded around Harry.

Among them was Lockhart, who pushed his way forward dramatically.

"Stand aside!" Lockhart declared. "I'll fix this!"

Before anyone could stop him, he waved his wand and cast a spell on Harry's injured arm.

There was a strange popping sound.

Harry stared down at his arm in horror.

The bones were gone.

His arm had become completely limp and rubbery.

Several students screamed in fear.

Alexander covered his face with one hand.

"That's worse…"

Professor McGonagall quickly stepped in and sent Harry to the Hospital Wing to have the damage properly treated.

The match was technically over.

But the chaos had only just begun.
