Chapter 115 - Holiday Study Sessions

Alexander decided to leave his briefcase behind this morning.

Silver, Copper, Don, and Lisa had all been buzzing with excitement since the snowball fight the night before, and he figured they deserved some time to relax and enjoy themselves.

Before leaving, he gave them simple instructions.

"Take care of the garden. Feed the chickens. And don't blow anything up."

Silver saluted proudly.

"Young Master can trust us!"

Copper was already halfway inside the briefcase.

"Silver will show everything! Our home! Our garden! Our chickens!"

Don and Lisa laughed as they followed them inside.

Alexander could still hear Silver's excited voice echoing as the briefcase closed.

He smiled.

After eating breakfast, Alexander grabbed his backpack — filled with homework — and headed back to the Burrow.

When he entered the living room, he found the Weasley kids already gathered.

Books open.

Scrolls spread out.

Quills scratching.

Even the twins were doing homework.

He rubbed his eyes, making sure he wasn't dreaming.

"…Impressive."

Fred looked up.

"Don't sound so shocked."

George added, "We do study sometimes."

Ron was slumped over his work, half-asleep.

His quill dragged across the parchment in uneven lines.

Alexander sat down and opened his own homework.

Ginny sat nearby, watching quietly at first.

But it didn't take long before she started asking questions.

"What does this spell do?"

"Why do you write your notes like that?"

"Is that a dueling diagram?"

Alexander didn't mind.

He was used to it.

Back at school, Ravenclaw first and second years constantly asked him things.

So he explained patiently while continuing his work.

Ginny listened carefully and even started writing her own notes.

Neat.

Organized.

Alexander glanced over and nodded approvingly.

"Good habit. Keep that up when you start school."

She smiled.

Ron, meanwhile, was losing his battle with sleep.

His head dipped.

Then jerked back up.

The twins noticed immediately.

"Oh, look."

"Sleeping beauty."

Ron groaned.

"I'm not sleeping…"

Alexander didn't even look up.

"If you fall asleep on your notes again, I'm adding extra review work."

Ron straightened instantly.

"I'm awake."

After lunch, they all took a break from homework and moved on to spell practice outside.

Ron challenged the twins to Lumos vs Nox.

Wand lights flickered on and off as they chased each other around.

Alexander stood nearby with Ginny.

He demonstrated slowly.

"Lumos isn't just about getting light. Remember to control the brightness and stability."

He cast it.

His wand glowed steadily and brightly.

Ginny listened because she didn't have a wand yet.

While he lectured, Alexander also kept pointing toward Ron.

"See that delay? Don't do that."

"His wand angle is wrong. Don't copy that."

"Reaction time too slow."

Ron stopped mid-practice.

"Why am I the example?!"

Alexander shrugged.

"Because you're the closest failure sample."

The twins burst out laughing.

Ginny tried not to laugh… but failed.

Ron groaned and tried harder to fix his mistakes.

But every time he improved—

Alexander found another flaw.

Ginny kept nodding seriously, taking mental notes.

"Don't perform like Ron next year."

She nodded and said.

"Got it."

Ron felt betrayed.

They kept practicing until sunset.

By dinner time, everyone was tired but satisfied.

Alexander headed home to eat with his parents.

After dinner, he returned to the Burrow to finish his homework with the Weasley family.

When he walked back in, the others were already seated.

Books open again.

Quills ready.

Ron looked like he was preparing for war.

Alexander sat down calmly.

They all did their homework late into the night.
