Chapter 94 - Troll in the Castle

After the final class ended, Alexander walked Cho to the Ravenclaw common area.

He gave her a small wave.

"See you at dinner."

Before she could say anything else, he turned and ran off.

Cho blinked.

"…He's definitely planning something."

Alexander hurried back to his room, locked the door, and opened his briefcase.

Stepping inside, he found Silver and Copper tending the garden and chickens as usual.

They rushed over the moment they saw him.

"Young Master! Welcome back!"

Alexander knelt slightly.

"Listen — things might get a little rocky later tonight."

The two elves froze.

"But don't panic," he added calmly. "No matter what you hear outside, stay here and protect the garden and animals."

Silver puffed her chest proudly.

"We will protect Young Master's home!"

Copper nodded fiercely. "With our lives!"

Alexander smiled and raised his hand.

They hesitated.

Then carefully high-fived him.

The moment their hands touched his—

They burst into tears of joy.

Alexander laughed awkwardly.

"Alright, alright… I'll be back later."

He gave them one last wave and exited the briefcase.

Dinner time.

The Great Hall was loud as usual—

Until the doors burst open.

Professor Quirrell stumbled in, robes crooked, turban shaking.

He was limping with a small trail of blood behind him, screaming.

"T-T-TROLL! TROLL IN THE CASTLE!"

The hall went silent for half a second.

Then—

Laughter exploded.

Students clapped.

Some even whistled.

"Wow, Chen even got a professor to act along!"

"Best prank yet!"

Quirrell froze, stunned by the reaction.

He kept limping forward, panicking.

"No! N-No prank! T-There is a troll! Go now! Go!"

The fear in his voice finally made the laughter die.

The professor, realizing he was serious, stood up instantly.

Head of Houses began issuing orders.

Prefects rushed to organize students.

Students rushed to the dormitories and secured them immediately.

During the chaos of students rushing back to their dormitories.

Harry and Ron realized someone was missing.

Hermione.

They exchanged looks, then quietly slipped away to find her.

Cho, meanwhile, clutched a plate she hastily packed with food.

And a pumpkin drink.

She bit her lip.

"Where are you, Alexander…"

But she still followed the Prefects back to Ravenclaw Tower.

Elsewhere…

Alexander walked calmly through an empty corridor toward the girls' bathroom.

He knocked on the door.

"Hey, Hermione. You should stop crying. I can hear you from the hallway."

Inside, the sobbing stopped instantly.

A moment later, the door creaked open.

Hermione stepped out, eyes red.

"…You could really hear it?"

Alexander nodded casually.

"Yeah. But don't worry. As a star student, I won't tell anyone."

"Let's just go to dinner," he said.

She stepped out, and they began walking—

When a horrible stench hit them.

Rotten.

Putrid.

Overwhelming.

Alexander's expression changed instantly.

"Hermione! Stand behind me now!"

Still stunned, she obeyed and hid behind him.

Just as the Troll turned the corner, she peaked then screamed.

The mountain troll roared and charged.

Alexander stood there with a big grin on his face and said.

"This should be fun."

He drew his wand.

"Depulso!"

The blasting charm hit the troll—

Stopping it for barely a second before it resumed charging.

Alexander's smile widened.

"Alright then."

He raised his wand again.

"Protego Maxima."

A massive translucent blue barrier formed.

"Fianto Duri."

The shield hardened.

"Repello Inimicum."

Protective force layered over it.

The troll slammed into the barrier and was thrown backward.

It roared, became more enraged, and swung its club against the shield.

Cracks formed.

Alexander flicked his wand calmly.

"Fianto Duri."

The cracks sealed.

He followed immediately.

"Locomotor Wibbly."

The troll's legs wobbled as it swung its club.

After hitting the barrier, it fell face-first onto the ground.

"Petrificus Totalus!"

The body-bind hit—

But the troll brute-forced its way out and broke through the binding.

It stood up again and continued to swing its club at the barrier.

Another crack formed.

Alexander reinforced it again without panic.

"Locomotor Mortis."

The troll's legs snapped together, locking tight.

"Flipendo!"

The knockback curse blasted it backwards.

"Stupefy — Duo."

Two stunning bolts slammed into its chest, driving it hard into the floor.

The club slipped from its grasp.

Alexander levitated it smoothly.

"Wingardium Leviosa."

The club floated beside him.

The troll got up again and roared and charged again—

Alexander pointed the club.

"Flipendo Maxima."

The amplified blast fired the club like a missile—

SLAM.

Directly into the troll's skull.

The creature collapsed instantly.

Unconscious.

Alexander lowered his wand slightly.

Then transfigured the club mid-air into heavy chains.

"Incarcerous."

Binding chains wrapped the troll tightly from head to toe.

He exhaled once.

Right on cue—

He heard rapid footsteps approaching from the corridor.

And he simply stood there waiting.
