After a while, Seiji and Namita walked out of the house.
The two of them were silent.
Seiji stared at the ground with a blank gaze.
Namita glanced at him, sighing inwardly.
He took out two sticks of cigarettes from his pocket. As they walked, he handed the cigarette to Seiji.
Seiji was startled, feeling something land on his shoulder.
He shifted his gaze and saw a cigarette on his left.
He glanced at Namita with a frown. But before he could speak, he was immediately silenced.
"Take it."
Namita insisted calmly, looking him in the eye.
Seiji fell silent.
But after a brief pause, he shakily took the cigarette.
"..."
He didn't say anything, simply holding the cigarette between his fingers.
"You don't mind that I saw all that, do you?"
Namita asked off-handedly, lighting up his cigarette.
But before Seijin could answer, he shrugged.
"Well, you took one of my cigarettes, so it's quits. Rule of the adults."
"..."
Seiji paused, staring at Namita in a strange way.
