Chapter 13 - HFM ARC (5)

The arena was a total mess – blood-soaked and full of bodies. It was the perfect stage for an epic showdown within the Mosquito Group. Golgo versus Max Somsun wasn't just a fight; it was like watching the brutal leader of the Teenagers go head-to-head with his angry, up-and-coming lieutenant. Golgo, radiating this dark, scary vibe, was throwing punches that showed off his raw power. Max, sporting a bloody nose and probably a cracked hand, was struggling to keep up with Golgo's non-stop attacks.

Golgo kept hammering him with these hard, fast combos, trying to take advantage of Max's injuries. But Max, using his Uncommon Blood Art – which basically gave him a 120% stat boost and made him super tough – blocked the hits, soaking up damage that would've wrecked anyone else. After blocking, Max fired back, trying to break Golgo's rhythm. For the first time, Max looked like he was actually struggling, realizing Golgo's focused strength was a serious threat.

Right in the middle of this crazy fight, Sonic pulled himself up from the ground. He was covered in blood but determined to protect his friends. He glanced over at Hawk, who was watching the fight but also seemed to be battling something inside himself.

"How much time do you need?" Sonic asked, his voice raspy.

"As much as you can give me," Hawk replied, his eyes locked on something else entirely.

Knowing he was pushing himself to the limit, Max decided to go all-out. Suddenly, a memory flashed through his mind – a scene from five years ago, showing a young, twelve-year-old Max sitting next to a sixteen-year-old Hankstroke. Hank was flipping through some records, looking totally chill.

"So, you beat Vager Usman and became the leader of your group," Hank said, smiling. "Nice job. Now, what are you gonna call it?"

"I'm calling it the Mosquito Group," Max declared.

"Good choice," Hank replied.

Max leaned in, his face serious. "You and your HYBRID gang better not mess with my leadership. If you do," Max paused, his eyes burning, "I'll kill you, Stroke!"

Hank just chuckled. "No interference, got it. But why do you hate Strokes so much? You know you're one too, right?"

"I'm not a Stroke!" Max shouted, his younger self already filled with anger and denial.

"Your call, Somsun," Hank said, and they walked off.

The flashback ended, and Max, now completely enraged, unleashed his fury on Golgo.

The final scene was a desperate show of teamwork. Sonic, Golgo, and even the one-armed Murg stood side-by-side against Max, who was now at full power. The sun was setting, casting long, creepy shadows across the destroyed arena, and dark clouds were gathering, hinting at a storm.

Hawk felt the pressure building inside him – this raw, untamed Animalistic Instinct aura. He knew that Golgo and Sonic, even with their power-ups, couldn't stop Max. The only way to save his friends and end this nightmare was to unleash the beast he'd been holding back for years. Hawk made his choice: he was going to use the Animalistic Instinct. As the first raindrops began to fall, the chapter ended.
