"I am glad you're stable now " said Mira.
"You and everyone have been taking care of me. Of course, I was bound to get better " said Andriana.
They had just left the doctor's office Slowly they headed to her room.
Mira's phone rang but she ignored it.
"Go on and answer it. Am not that weak, I can head back alone " she said to her friend.
Mira seemed hesitant but Andriana gently pushed her hand away from her.
"I can manage Mira, go ahead. And I'm almost there" she said.
"Okay, I won't be long " she said and rushed off answering the call.
Andriana slowly paced to her room. As she was almost there she heard the bodyguards at her door talking.
"Did you hear about the boss's condition?".The tall one said.
"Yes....one of the bodyguards at the company told me he looked like he hadn't slept for days " the other replied.
"I heard he now stays in a hotel and his smoking habit has gotten worse " the tall one added.
They both sighed.
"I wonder why he doesn't come and see her. It's clear he's worried about her "said the other.
"Didn't you hear, the reason he only sends flowers and never appears is because they heard a fight about something and as a result, she collapsed from it "said the tall one.
"Huh really, is that why he hasn't come to see her ?".
The tall one nodded, "I heard this this morning, he almost collapsed during the morning meeting ".
"What ?!" yelled Andriana.
They had been so busy gossiping that they had not noticed her getting closer to them. She had been listening to their conversation.
"He collapsed ?" She repeated.
They both sprang up surprised to see her back so soon.
"You're back " they stammered.
"I asked you a question " she glared.
They both nodded.
"So he collapsed " she sounded worried and her face turned pale.
The tall one spoke up, "he didn't ....it was almost . I said almost " he tried to correct her.
But she was already running away towards the entrance.
The two guards turned to each other.
"What have we done " they muttered.
Mira who had returned from her phone call saw Andriana run off.
"Andriana, what the hell are you going to do?" She yelled grabbing her.
Andriana turned to her, "he collapsed Mira.....Karlye collapsed at work "Her face was covered in tears.
Mira sighed
"Calm down, remember you're in no condition to be so worried or this stressed...or even running around "
"But ....is it my fault. I shouldn't have gotten mad at him that day ...oh my God Mira...what if he ..." She cried.
Mira pulled her in for a hug.
"Sweetie ...listen to me. If anything did happen David would have called me already. Or they would have bought him in already, so I believe whatever you heard wasn't true " she said.
"But what if it is ....I need to go see him " she cried.
"Okay ....we will go but you need to first calm down. Remember your baby comes first " Mira let out.
Andriana blinked then looked down at her belly nodding.
"I need to calm down, I just got better " she said to herself.
Mira nodded wiping her tears.
"Good. Now let's go get you some better clothes. You can't go looking like that " she pointed out.
Mira noticed the two bodyguards coming running towards them and immediately knew where Andriana heard the news of Karlye.
It was true he had almost collapsed at work, but David had been there to help. They got a doctor who administered an IV and let him rest in the lounge of his office.
But that was two days ago , Karlye was okay now. Mira and David had not said anything and had told the others not to tell Andriana but she somehow ended up finding out and worse of all a twisted version of it.
Mira told them to get the car ready and they drove off.

"You want to go there alone ?" Mira turned to Andriana.
"Yes ", she let out.
Mira sighed, "Alright, but make sure to return to the hospital before it gets dark "
Andriana nodded. Mira pulled out her lipstick and applied some to her lips.
"Is this really necessary?" Andriana asked notoving.
Mira glanced back at her and smiled.
"There, you look perfect. And yes it's necessary, you're going to the CEO, who is your boyfriend. You need to show them how pretty and deserving you are to him " she said.
Andriana blinked.
"Ahh.....but this is too much make-up and the outfits aren't they too much for just an office visit ?".
Mira scoffed, "What are you talking about. This isn't even close to what I had in mind. I just held myself back since you're still recovering. Now go in there proudly and stand up straight, keep your head up as you walk in "
Andriana listened nodding. After she fixed her hair Mira hugged her.
"Tell him he's a coward to bring a sick person to come see him " she said to Andriana.
Andriana giggled nodding as she got out of the car.
Mira sat back and watched her friend walk to the company with the two bodyguards.
"Should have gotten her a shorter skirt" she murmured.

"Hello, may I ...."
"Oh Miss Davidson, you're welcome " said the receptionist, not letting Andriana finish.
The tall bodyguard whispered to Andriana.
"Madam, you don't need to do this. You can just go up " he said to her.
"I can ...I thought you were supposed to ...".
The receptionist smiled, "Not for you, you're not supposed to wait . You can go straight up ".
"Oh..alright. thank you " she smiled.
The two guards led her to the CEO's private elevator and headed up.
She noticed her image in the elevator and blushed. Her outfit and makeup made her look so different.
Was that beautiful confident-looking lady her?
She smiled even in her nervous state.
The elevator door opened, and her heart was already beating loudly in her ears. The stares as they headed to his office were undeniable , but she was too busy thinking about Karlye to care.
"David ?" She called ..noticing him across the room.
"Andriana ...what are you doing here ?" he frowned.
She noticed his face turn pale .
