Chapter 17 - King of the Greenskins VS Demon King. (1)

Aku made a quick wrist movement, dry, clean, making Regina's neck emit an unpleasant crack.

A crack that confirmed her murder.

Aku had been analyzing. When the girl approached him, he simply inspected her.

Expelling azoth and making it bounce off her, Aku could analyze many aspects of the necromancer.

He didn't just focus on the properties of her artifacts, but also on her muscle density and physical strength.

With that brief analysis he concluded that Regina was physically weak enough for him to kill her with his bare hands.

He also made sure that breaking her neck was enough to kill her, since being a necromancer, she might have ways to survive.

Gerald looked at the scene completely surprised. At first he didn't understand what he had seen, but then he confirmed it when he saw Regina's body fall lifeless to the ground.

With that, the undead in the area began to fall like puppets whose strings had been cut.

Regina had undoubtedly died.

"H-how, why did you do that!?" Gerald shouted in fear, looking at Aku with confusion.

Gerald couldn't understand Aku. It was clear that Regina was not only beautiful but also strong.

Making an alliance with her could be an assured way to pass the trial.

Aku turned to look at Gerald with an expressionless gaze as he analyzed him.

"Isn't it obvious?" he asked with a voice without any emotion. "Allying with her was very inconvenient, not to mention risky."

He affirmed.

Right now, it was impossible to seduce Aku. He only understood about love and mating what he had read in books.

Aku wouldn't even understand if someone was trying to seduce him.

"What do you mean no? She was very strong! You'd have an incredible ally," Gerald responded excitedly. He still didn't understand why anyone in their right mind would reject such an offer.

Aku just shrugged.

"The problem is that her power is very dangerous. She claimed she could even resurrect other heroes, so sooner or later she would accumulate an army of heroes that would put me in trouble," he affirmed.

Gerald nodded. It was true to a certain extent, but he still wasn't convinced.

"But why would she betray you in the first place? Aren't you too distrustful?" Gerald asked with curiosity.

Though the truth was different. He was really starting to accumulate vital force in his summoning staff.

He had just seen how Aku had cold-bloodedly murdered someone, and he didn't want to meet the same fate.

"Because of what she said. The deal was that I would kill heroes and she would revive them," Aku said with a cold voice. "But if I kill the other heroes, she wouldn't gain points, so it's logical to think she planned to betray me when she got enough troops."

Gerald nodded. Now that he thought about it, it made sense.

However, his instinct and common sense told him that Aku was dangerous.

"I see, and what are you going to do now?" Gerald asked, trying to prolong the conversation.

Aku shrugged. His black eyes looked at Gerald with a calculating coldness.

"Do you want to make an alliance with me? I could use someone who can cover a lot of ground," Aku proposed calmly.

Gerald let out a snort while smiling, as if that idea were ridiculous.

"Ha! Do you think I'm stupid or what? There's no way I'd fall for that trap," he shouted while raising his staff in the air. "I summon you, [Ogre Lord]."

The gem on his staff pulsed an intense red light. As it did, several magic circles appeared superimposed on his back as a giant creature materialized behind him.

Suddenly, a gigantic creature, almost ten meters tall, manifested behind him.

It had green skin covered in tattoos and tribal markings all over its skin.

On its shoulders were two monstrous heads with pig noses and prominent, yellowed tusks.

It was a giant two-headed ogre, one head larger than the other.

Clumsily, the orc lifted his master into his hand, which had a shackle from which hung a black chain.

"Ha! Behold my strongest summon, [Ogre Lord]. This creature was not only born with two heads but with two classes. While one focuses on brute strength, the other is capable of conjuring magic! Isn't it impressive?" the boy boasted as the ogre placed him on its shoulder.

Aku analyzed his enemy. In one hand it had an enormous wooden staff that seemed to be magical but also served for physical attacks.

"I see. I suppose it's not bad," Aku responded condescendingly.

It was curious. He wasn't planning to betray Gerald. Unlike Regina, he wasn't dangerous, but he could be useful for covering ground.

However, it was clear that young man wouldn't trust Aku after seeing him murder someone so coldly.

"I suppose there's no other choice. I'll have to get rid of you too," the demon king affirmed.

While he had never seen his army, there was no way the one who stood above all monsters would be scared by a simple mutant ogre.

Aku grabbed his spear as the ogre screamed with fury.

It was time to hunt the king of the greenskins.
