Chapter 2 - Alison Arrives

Me and Axel wave mom off as she leaves to go get Alison. My stomach churns. She has no boundaries. Once we see mom departure, we turn around and go back inside. We go to the spare room, my new room and start repainting the walls. We spent 5 hours re decorating my new room. We hear the front door open. Mom and Alison arrived home after some long hours. Me and Axel were dreading this moment. Like we we were hiding in my room because we didn't want to see Alison. But it was unfortunately inevitable. She came bouncing into her new bedroom and shrieked

"WHY ARE THE WALLS ORANGE? IT'S SO GROSS!" I gritted my teeth. It's not orange. It's a Scarlett red. I sighed after my mom's response. Alison's voice is so annoying

"This was Ser's room, she gave it to you once she heard that you were coming" Yeah because I didn't want to be sharing a room with an entitled brat, I thought to myself. I just shook my head. Axel came in sighing and groaning.

"What's wrong, dear brother?" I said, putting all of my books on my shelves. Yes. I'm still unpacking. So what. He sat on my bed and just looked at me. "Alison is what's wrong. She's got mom all wrapped around her finger, and it's pissing me off. " He was huffing, and to be honest, I didn't mind it. Mom was wrapped around Alison's finger.

" What brought this on?" I asked, putting my last book on the shelf. Well, the shelf I could reach anyway. I'll have to go out and buy a ladder for the top shelves.

"Mom wants me to introduce Alison to my friends. She wants me to bring Alison to all of my games and make her my shadow. " That is new. So it's understandable why he's so mad. I would be, too.

"Just be prepared if she begins to whore around" I said, chuckling. That made him glare at me. "Don't remind me. Luckily most of my friends are in a relationship so we don't have to worry about that." One could hope I suppose. I wonder how people are gonna take it once they realize that his sister is a sunflower and his bitch of a cousin is a lunar. I couldn't help but giggle to myself. Especially when me and Axel are twin.

"This would certainly be interesting" I mumbled to myself. Axel just looks at me with an eyebrow raised. "What's got you all giggly?" He asked, his tone very curious. I couldn't help shake my head.

"Just thinking of how interesting it's gonna be when people realise that you have a sunflower for a twin sister and a crazy entitled bitch Lunar for a cousin" I couldn't help but laugh again. I mean its not entirly impossible but it's not very common for this thing to happen.

"I do see your point but it is what it is. Ugh I don't know why she had to be here. She's such a snob. I hate snobs. But there is one person who hates her the most though" That certainly peaked my interest. "Who?" I was very interested in knowing. "Jezzabelle" Jezzabelle? I've never heard of her until now. I wonder who she is.

"Who's Jezzabelle?" I asked. She sounds like a kind girl, but who knows. "Oh she's part of my friend group.. I kinda of a crush on her" W H A T? MY BROTHER HAS A CRUSH ON SOMEONE?? THAT'S SO CUTEEE!! "Aww that's so cute! Tell me more about her!" I was excited. He groaned as he rubbed the back of his head. He was contemplating on whether to tell me or not. I wasn't gonna make him if he wasn't comfortable with it.

"You do not have to tell me if you do not want to" I reassured him. He took a sigh of relief. But that sigh of relief was quickly turned into annoyance once Alison barged into my room. Didn't knock just barged into my room like she owned the place. I hung my head and sighed.

"Alison, it's so good to see you" I said in a very sarcastic tone which seemed to go very un-noticed. "It's so good to see you too Sariena!" She did that annoying squealing thing that hurts my ears. Thats one thing about obout us sunflowers, we have very sensitive hearing. Thats like the moon shiners have very sensitive eye sight. The Lunars don't seem to have that problem though.

"What brings you here?" I said, sourly and gritted my teeth so hard that they could actually break. She threw herself onto my chair and threw her feet up on the desk...with her filthy shoes... UGH

"Well, Aunty said that I could come stay with her because I got accepted into Academy. You know, the Academy for the Talented? The one you could never get into Sariena" She sneered, but I chuckled once I saw the look on her face once she found out that I got in.

"Actually, Sar and I both got in Alison." Axel corrected her, and her face just fell. "S-so that's why she's here too? I thought yalls daddy kicked her out to replace her with his new daughter. " I frowned, tears starting to form in my eyes. She's not wrong. Father did replace me with his new family. He did kick me out once he found out that I made it in. He never had any faith in me, but Axel did. And that's all I needed

"Get out." Axel's voice was cold and harsh. He was mad. His voice only gets like that when he's mad. He glared at Alison, his eyes so sharp that it could kill someone. I instinctively pulled my knees to my chest and hid my face into my knees so that no one could see me cry.

"Excuse me?" Alison tried to fight back, but Axel wasn't having it. "I said. Get. Out." He got up and pulled her out of the chair she was in and threw her out of my room. He slammed the door in her face and looked at me, who was now a sobbing mess. He knelt down beside me and pulled me closer to him. He hugged me tight and let me cry into his chest, soaking his shirt with my tears.

Mom bursted in to my room angry.

"WHY IS ALISON CRYING? WHAT DID YOU DO YOU BRAT?" She shrieked as she pointed at me. It caused me pain so I flinched and covered my ears. Axel held me tighter.

"She didn't do anything. And do not call her a brat. Alison made her upset, so I made her leave the room. And stop yelling. You're hurting Sariena" I curled up, making myself smaller. I just wanted some quiet time but noo Alison had to go and tattle on me.

"What did Alison do? What did she say?" Mom asked, still irritated but quiter. She put her hand on her hip and pinched her nose.

"She said that she thought the our dad had kicked her out and replaced her with his new family" He said, rubbing my back

"Well she's not all that wrong and she needs to get over it." Mom said as she left my room. I felt my heart break even more. How could she say that to her own daughter. I just kept crying as Axel comforted me. He ended up staying with me the whole night and just consoled me.
