By now I had grown somewhat used to Finnick feeding me. After all, he had already done it once back at the hospital.
So when he asked, I answered obediently, "I want the broccoli and the eggplants."
Without hesitation, Finnick picked up the food and held the spoon to my lips.
Across the table, Molly and Liam stared in shock.
Mr. Norton… feeding someone?
The two of them exchanged glances, their eyes wide with disbelief.
I never thought I would live long enough to see something like this…
Dinner took me quite a while to finish. Watching Finnick patiently feed me bite after bite made my embarrassment grow.
Finally, I couldn't take it anymore.
"Finnick," I muttered awkwardly, "I can eat with my left hand. You should eat your dinner."
He ignored me completely.
Only after I finished eating did he finally begin his own meal.
Soon he was done as well. When Molly came over to clear the dishes, Finnick spoke calmly.
