Chapter 7 - Basic Physical Strengthening

Inside a magnificent mansion, a beautiful woman lay down with nothing but a thin white silk cloth covering her sexy body.

At a glance, anyone could see the curves of the girl's figure—enough to drive any man mad with desire.

If her beauty were rated on a scale from one to one hundred, she would easily earn a perfect score.

"Miss Sekar, I've come to report," said a mature woman wearing a male servant's uniform.

"Hngh…" Sekar struggled to sit up, looking at the woman with sleepy eyes. "Emil? What report do you have?"

"It concerns your childhood friend, Mr. Rega."

Sekar's eyes widened, her drowsiness vanishing instantly.

"What happened to Rega?" Sekar asked urgently.

"Mr. Rega has registered as an official hunter."

A beautiful smile naturally bloomed on Sekar's face.

"So Rega has finally taken action. I believe he will keep the oath we made back then."

Sekar lay back down, gently touching her chest with her eyes closed.

"I can feel it. It won't be long before we meet again."

Emil stood still, as if deep in thought.

"If Miss likes Rega, why not go to him directly?"

Sekar looked at Emil as if she were staring at a fool.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"Emil, Father and Mother are very strict about the kind of man who's allowed to get close to me. What do you think would happen if I went to see Rega when he's still a nobody?"

Emil fell silent after understanding Sekar's meaning.

"Even so, I'm not convinced Rega will become a top-class hunter. If he fails, you'll be the one who suffers, Miss," Emil said quietly.

Sekar smiled gently.

"No. I believe in Rega. He won't disappoint me."

"…" Emil let out a long sigh, looking helpless.

Her gaze hardened as she stared straight out the window. 'I have no grudge against you, but if you disappoint Miss Sekar, I'll kill you!'

As Rega prepared to enter the dungeon, a sudden chill ran down his spine for no apparent reason.

The hair on the back of his neck stood up, filling his mind with doubt.

"What's going on? Who's talking badly about me?"

Rega pondered for a moment, then shook his head.

"Forget it. There's no point guessing—better to level up in the dungeon!"

Rega entered the dungeon confidently and began hunting green goblins on the first floor of Jaran Dungeon.

Today's target: reaching level 500. It should be easy as long as Rega could find more than two hundred green goblins.

With his Spear Mastery skill, green goblins were like livestock waiting to be slaughtered by Rega.

There was no burden in killing them—like stabbing empty air.

One by one, the green goblins were killed. Rega leveled up smoothly and soon became someone the goblins feared.

Whenever the green goblins saw him, they ran away with terrified expressions, as if they knew their lives were in danger just by Rega's presence.

Rega admired the instincts of the green goblins. They might be stupid, but their instincts were still useful—especially in situations like this.

Even so, Rega had no intention of letting them go and slaughtered every green goblin he encountered.

(Level up!)

(New skill acquired: Basic Physical Enhancement!)

"Finally, my second skill!" Rega couldn't stop himself from shouting in excitement.

His second skill was Basic Physical Enhancement. As the name suggested, it doubled the user's physical strength at the cost of consuming 100 MP per second.

"All right, let's try it right away!"

Rega activated Basic Physical Enhancement. The next second, his physical strength increased dramatically—twice its original amount.

"Amazing! With this, I won't have to be afraid of fighting monsters stronger than green goblins!"

(Skill usage confirmed, skill EXP successfully doubled!)

(Basic Physical Enhancement has been upgraded to Intermediate Physical Enhancement!)

Rega nodded happily, with no intention of turning the skill off.

"Now it's three times my base physical strength, but the MP consumption stays the same. Incredible!"

Rega smiled happily, then slowly began to feel dizzy and weak all over his body.

"This feeling… what's happening?"

Thud!

Rega couldn't endure it any longer. He staggered and collapsed helplessly onto the dungeon floor.

(MP insufficient. Intermediate Physical Enhancement forcibly deactivated!)

The dizziness gradually faded, and Rega realized something that made him smile bitterly.

He had run out of MP—no wonder he felt like he was about to pass out.

"This skill is powerful, but it consumes too much MP. I'd better keep it as a trump card and only use it when I'm truly forced to."
