A train stopped.
Its abrupt end replicated the sound of a shockwave, the doors had opened and 6 soldiers had stepped out.
"Let's get a move on." The Major General grabbed a briefcase and headed off the train— the RAS soon to follow.
A historical entity indeed. North City looked as if it was from the ancient times.
"Marvelous." Adam whispered. "This is where the First Emperor created S-"
Major General Julius had cut him off. "Stop speaking of legend and prepare. You're going to exterminate them."
"You're? So you aren't participating, Major General Sir?" Hughman confusingly asked.
"Yes. I'm merely here to assess and observe your skill." He adjusted his gloves— "Begin the extermination."
Vanessa had bolted to the front gates.
"Hyaaa!" She bolted upwards.
"Ma'am! Stop!" Guards had shouted!
*Military uniforms..? What..?* One guard had thought to herself.
"Sensory Overload..!" Vanessa screamed.
The guards dropped screaming, clutching their heads as blood streamed from their ears. They begun foaming from the mouth, their brains in total confusion.
"Hmph..! Weak. Alright, you guys can come in now."
The RAS had walked inside. Julius stood atop a watch tower simply observing. *The moons position isn't where he wants it yet..* He thought.
Hughman gulped— *We have to be a team. Be organized, be efficient. Like Elder Brother Guri.*
Hughman started pointing at his fellow squad members—
"Adam, you have Shadow abilities, you'll be reconnaissance."
"Vinast, you can alter people's minds with Cognitive Replacement. Basically hypnosis, so you'll be here with me."
"Vanessa you'll be with me as well."
"Cupiditas-" Hughman was cut off.
"I'll do my own thing, okay..? Don't try being a leader.. I only answer to my superiors. And you aren't one of them." He chewed on his dagger.
Adam looked at him— "What are you doing..?"
"Sharpening my blade. They're gonna be here. Stay out my way, alright?"
Adam had turned away from Cupiditas and walked into a shadow, dissolving into darkness.
Vanessa, Hughman, and Vinast begun leaping into the air, searching for the opponents emitting the most Soul Pressure.
Suddenly—
The urgency, the intensity of this sound.
An alarm.
*ALL RESIDENTS OF NORTH CITY! 6 MILITARY OFFICERS ARE INVADING. PREPARE TO EVACUATE!* A telepathic signal was sent to everybody in the vicinity.
"That voice.. an elderly man." Julius inferred.
"A presence..!" Vinast felt an uncomfortable feeling. She fell down into the urban area of North City.
"What's this… feeling..?" Hughman felt a shiver crawl up his spine.
He flew down to the outskirts of North City.
"…!" Vanessa felt alarmed.
She leaped to a temple.
"His eyes, they show no fear. Whats wrong with this guy?!" Vinast thought.
"Why is this presence so alarming..? This woman…" Hughman thought.
"An elderly man..? With prayer beads around his neck? A monk?" Vanessa thought.
Aboard a train, Imaez suddenly opened his eyes.
He looked out the window—
*Something's up..*
He broke the glass of the window, diving through it. He clung onto the side of the train, hanging onto the railing.
*I remember that Soul Pact pressure. So, you're there.* Imaez thought to himself.
Lloyd and Marie were awake due to the wind howling through the window.
Imaez turnt around—
"Lloyd, get ready to take us North City. We're going to take a short cut."
Lloyd wiped crust off his eyes, "Dude, it is the middle of the night… what could possibly be this urgent."
"The unjust extermination of people." Marie muttered. "We have to go Lloyd!"
Lloyd's eyebrows shifted from careless to serious.
"Right on it."
He charged up lightning through out his body…
"Come close to me." He sent electric shocks throughout the train. "Concentrate…" He coated himself in pure electricity. "Go..!" He grabbed Imaez and Marie, almost instantly transferring them to North City.
kkkkzzzzt! Lightning struck, horizontally.
Three powerful pressures—
"Is this..?!" Julius thought.
"Hmm?!" Adam was appalled.
*So you are here…* Cupiditas sadistically laughed.
Smoke filled the main gate. A hand arose from the smoke, scattering it away with the gale.
Imaez, Marie, and Lloyd had appeared. Recognizing six distinct pressures.
"IMAEZ!!!" Cupiditas screamed.
