The following morning, the sun brightened up the sky and Ray opened his eyes to the sound of someonemoving.
Nora was already crouched at the edge of the clearing.
Her nose was currently pointing upward and her wolf ears swivelled slowly in different directions, catching every sound the forest could offer her.
Meanwhile, Rime was awake too.
The little wyvern had perched himself on a low branch directly above Ray's head, and his ice-blue eyes were watching Nora with a look of curiosity.
Mira stirred beside him, before blinking the sleep from her eyes.
"Morning." Ray said quietly as he stared at Mira.
Nora's ears flicked toward the sound of his voice but she didn't turn around.
"Ray is awake. Good." She straightened up from her crouch before glancing back at them. "Nora wants to leave now."
"Give us a minute."
Nora's tail swished behind her in clear impatience.
"Nora doesn't have time. Nora needs to find Mother before bad men move Mother again."
