The two remained silent as they enjoyed the cool breeze of the day caressing their skin.
Now, Emma was resting her head on Ray's lap, while her big brother gently stroke her hair.
"I'm happy to see you're okay, big brother." Emma muttered softly.
"Me too Emma, and thank you."
"For what?"
"For being the best and cutest little chipmunk a big brother could ever ask for."
"I'm not a chipmunk." The little girl puffed her cheeks cutely in annoyance but Ray could see the edges of her lips which were desperately trying to hold back her cute smiles.
"I tried checking up on the eggs in your room earlier today but Mom said I shouldn't." Emma said. "It's not like I wanted to break the eggs or something. I just wanted to see how they were doing."
"Well, mom didn't want you coming into my room cause I was still asleep at the time."
"But now that you're awake, can I go to your room? I'll just touch them and maybe show my friends the cool eggs we have in our house."
