Iontach Cáerme was an unusual elven kid, he was born in the settlement founded by elves who fleed the persecution and pogroms from humans, chose to migrate to unclaimed north of northern realm, Iontach was born in 15th May 1171. When he was born he didn't cry like any infant would, but he is clearly alive, thanks to elven sages examining the newborn infant, when they read the stars, they learnt that this kid, though his path is undescribable as stars compared his path to iron, fire, water and smoke, but one thing is clear, this child is destined for greatness, and a great destiny awaits him, which is why he is named Iontach Cáerme meaning great destiny.
Iontach after turning to age 5 busy himself in making alloys and strange concoctions using strange glass tools instead of a cauldron, normally an elf of that age usually play in forest, practice bow, create artworks or even spend time singing and dancing, but the boy Iontach as usual way uninterested in it, instead he was found creating and tinkering strange objects, earning him moniker of tinkerer, the elves saw Iontach as an oddball and completely different from normal kid, but they don't know, Iontach has a secret.
Iontach is actually a transmigrator, in past life he was a great polymath who knew every scientific knowledge and mastered every expertises of science and engineering, the reason he was able to learn and master everything is thanks to lifespan enhancing drug, which extended his lifespan, slowed ageing, maintain his sanity even in advanced ageing, but there's a limit, while Iontach in his past a celebreated polymath, he dream was always been to pursue knowledge, with both his dream fulfilled, and his body reaching it's limit, he decided to pass away peacefully.
However, in next moment, he found himself reborn as an elf in a new world, the world of witcher, a world unknown to him, as he never played witcher games which is popular amongst the youngsters, he don't know about this world, he was disappointed in this world for being too superstitious, unlogical and barbaric, which caused the thousands of elves, dwarves, gnomes and halfling to migrated to unclaimed north, a place with no human population but also presense of monsters of north, as this is a dangerous world, where magic and monsters are reality.
Aware about dangers of this world, Iontach decided to recreate the technology from his past life, to gain strength to survive this unforgiving world, he started by gathering and selling herbs for some coins, after which he assigned a craftsman to create forging equipments, forge and glass items (chemistry kits) for him, the forging equipments and forge were familiar to neighbours, but chemistry kit was new to them, as concept of true chemistry doesn't exist here, as the chemistry of this world is the early chemistry used in alchemy.
Soon, Iontach created periodic table with all 114 elements to help himself in metallurgy and chemistry, he created better alloys with just ordinary metals, the special metals like meteorite and dimeritium are not used, Iontach purely dependent on natural and mundane order (technology) and not the unknown and mystical chaos (magic), which is why he avoided supernatural elements. The alloys were of great quality, the adult elves thought that Iontach is wasting his youth on things other than what a child do, also they believed the creation of alloys made from ordinary metals to be waste of time, only the craftsmen and blacksmiths who purchase the ingots are aware of the true potential of the alloys and wondered how a kid make such magnificient alloys.
After creating alloys, Iontach moved on chemicals, he took the nearby herbs, and using chemistry extracted the useful chemical elements (mentioned in periodic table) and used it to create various chemical compounds, needed to make medicines and fertilisers, Iontach created cures for basic illness, antibiotics for dealing pathogens, antiseptics to cure wounds and prevent infections, fertilizers to grow crops and herbs, and finally pesticides to eliminate the pests, he created coil version and cream version to deal with both pest in homes and fields, it is a good idea in case of field as liquid pesticide often poison the crops leading to cancer if such crops are consumed by people, in this way he can protect the field without poisoning the crops. But since, true chemistry is different from chemistry used in alchemy, the other elves found the modern chemistry odd, and saw the Iontach's chemistry as strange alchemy.
Finally, Iontach realised that his efficiency is still low, so he created steam engine and early factory tools powered by it, to allow the mass production of of alloys, medicines, pesticides and fertilizers, not just for his own use but also to sell it to earn money, Iontach kept a portion for himself and sold the rest for coins, the elves who don't know about steam engine saw it as odd object, not knowing that this thing can increase efficiency of an craftsman and allow mass production.
The elves who are unaware of Iontach's worth, saw his creations as strange things, until his goods dominated the market of every settlements in unclaimed north, the medicines cured the various diseases, replacing herbal concoctions, the fertilizers increased the agricultural yield, the demand for Iontach's alloys grew and pesticides kills the pests, saving the crops.
The dwarves were shocked to see an elven-forged alloy surpassing the dwarven-forge alloys, the gnomes taken a deep interest in steam engine and the halfings, they were happy that they don't have to worry about hunger and bad harvest, instead their new problem is to where to keep the excess crops as their granary is full.
The elves, while acknowledging Iontach's talents without relying on chaotic forces, instead relying of orderly force, they were concerned that he is moving away from elven tradition, and insisted that Iontach should learn how to use bow, Iontach agreed and practiced bow, except the bow he used isn't regular bow but a compound bow, that utilise pulley system instead of traditional bowstring, thomas practiced his bow, while the elven elders facepalmed at him using a mechanical bow instead of traditional bow.
