Chapter 2 - The Body That Wasn’t Mine

I woke up.

Oh no.

My beautiful dream was gone.

But do you know what is worse?

My paws felt weird.

No, not paws, not really.

I looked at them, and they were...

Hands.

*Wha— what the— human hands—* I thought.

I quickly sat up, realizing this wasn't the room I was supposed to be in. It was more like it was built for me. Or at least for someone like me...

*Ah, mirror! I have to look there!*

Wrong thought. I didn't even look at my legs and I stood up. Then fell back. Then stood up again. Then fell at the ground.

*What the—?! Why can't I walk!*

That's when I noticed I had legs. I wanted to scream so much...

As I finally managed to stand up and look at the mirror, I realized I'm...

A HUMAN.

YES, A HUMAN.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" I screamed as much as I could.

"Sandy, sweetie! What happened, why are you screaming? Breakfast is ready! If you're trying to scare me with the sock nightmare, good try!"

a familiar voice called from the kitchen.

Mom.

"NO! EVERYTHING IS A NIGHTMARE I JUST HAVE TO WAKE UP AND— who even is Sandy??!!" I tried to explain, but with all that confusion I couldn't.

That's when two girls my age — one pink and one white — came into the room. Pink and White. I mean, this time Rosy and Snow. They tried to stand me up.

"Awhh, had a bad dream again?" Rosy said with unusually too much energy.

"This is what happens when you let her sleep alone for once. C'mon, breakfast is ready!" Snow said, already balancing me.

"Breakfast... I hope it's carrots."

I was already walking. Or... more like dancing.

Then I heard a giggle.

"Sandy, are you dancing?"

Mom.

"U— Uhh n—nooOo just—

✨Walking✨"

I said while trying to keep my balance.

"yeah, yeah, classic you. C'mon, sit down." she offered me a chair.

A CHAIR.

I tried to sit down.

TRIED.

Instaed, I fell down WITH THE CHAIR.

Everyone laughed.

"H— hey!— don't laugh!"

I screamed, trying to sit back down.

So I decided to stand.

I looked at the tray.

And on it was...

A BREAD.

"Uhm– do I eat it... with my mouth?"

I tried to ask without sounding weird. And failed.

"Sandy, you always eat with your mouth!" Rosy said, falling from her chair of laughter.

After a lot of suffering trying to eat the bread, I finally managed to eat it.

FINALLY.

But then suddenly Snow and Rosy stood up and Rosy grabbed my hand.

"Wha—"

"C'mon, Sandy! We'll be late, you were eating the bread for anhour."

"Late? For what?!"

"school, Sandy, school!"

Rosy laughed.

SCHOOL.

THE CURSED WORD.

*School?! No, no, no, no! I can't— just not school! What will I do?! Tell the truth? Act ill?*

Oh no, I completely forgot what was I doing while was I thinking all this. And suddenly I was in a school bus.

This is already mess, and it was becoming even more crazy every second...

Do people always live like this?
