The other members of the company were also there. Three men and five women, all in their teenage. The plane was in front of them with the company logo. It was the Japan flag wrapped around a game controller and impact titles reading ' Universal Dreamers '. It was funny since both Dylan and Samantha were black in race but they were playing for Japan. While they were there discussing amongst each other about the sudden change in plans, in came the president. A man with a thick shiny beard and masculine personality. He gave them a speech saying," Thank you my very valuable investments. You have truly made you supporters proud. You will be heading to the big release today which was rescheduled. It seems that the organizing committee had the intention of catching our best player while he was distracted but I hop you show them why you are the son of the progenitor of the game. What do you say Titan? [ Dylan raised a thumbs up ] Good. Now jump into the plane, i will be joining you all tomorrow. Until we meet again."
The president then got in his car and it hovered away. Dylan and Samantha got into the plane while discussing the characters that Dylan should use in the game release. They both carried their game data on memory chips since it was a requirement for the expo. They took a quad sitting in the back of the plane. Dylan sat opposite to Samantha. Samantha was about to ask Dylan something when he got a call from an unknown number. He told her to hold on and accepted the call. He got up and moved to the drinks bar to talk with the caller." Hello? Is this Dylan?" the caller asked.
" Yeah, Dylan is speaking. Who is this?" asked Dylan.
" It's me your dad," said the caller.
" What? I think you have the wrong number," said Dylan about to cut the call," Bye."
" Hold it Clevius," said the caller.
" How do you know that name? Tell me?" asked Dylan in horror.
" I know it because I'm the one who gave you that name. Do you believe me now? Or should I mention the birthmark you ha...," the caller continued.
" Okay okay, I get it. Explain yourself," Dylan demanded," Where are you?"
" I'm sorry sport but even if i told you you wouldn't believe me," the caller said.
" Try m...," Dylan began confidently when a loud stomping sound was heard in the distance followed by a tyrannosaurus rex roar.
" Looks like he sniffed me out. Dylan, no matter what, don't let Samantha connect to the game in the expo. DON'T OKAY!" the caller said as he broke into a run.
" Why? Explain yourself?" Dylan questioned the man who had already ended the call," What was that?"
Dylan raised his phone and it read ' call ended '. He was so annoyed. He asked the barkeep to pour him a glass of water with ice. The man did as told and he drenched his face. The ice flew to his hair and dangled their for a while. He thanked the barkeep and moved back to his seat when a small robot came over to clean up the water he poured. Dylan held his head in thought and walked back to his seat; eyes closed and mind in the clouds. As soon as he sat down, he had his head hung on his neck so that the water dripped onto he floor. Samantha called out to him," Hey bro, you good?"
" Just got some info that is messing with me drastically," said Dylan.
" You want to talk about it?" asked Samantha.
" Nope. I can handle this without anyone's help," said Dylan.
" Oh, you mean like when you said you will handle Rose?" asked Samantha striking a nerve.
" I thought I said don't b...," began Dylan getting up to face her only to realize the one on the opposite side was a redhead.
The girl was a dazzling beauty. She had fair skin and marron-colored hair. Her eyes were like a shimmering ruby in the airplane lights. Her smile was like a beach of pearls arranged by a jeweler. Dylan looked into those eyes and blushed." Hi there Dylan? Long time no see," Rose said.
" Oh, what are you doing here?" Dylan asked trying to regain his composure.
" I'm also a member of Universal Dreamers but obviously you didn't know that after ghosting me for three months," said Rose.
" I can explain that," said Dylan.
" Really? Because I clearly remember you texted me saying we need space and then the next thing I'm hearing is that your father is dead. I didn't even see you shed a tear at his grave," said Rose.
" Why would I shed a tear for an empty grave?" Dylan asked.
This looked like it was going nowhere so Samantha said," I call for a reconciliation match. Us two verses you brother."
" Okay, what are the terms?" Dylan asked.
" If w win, you get back together with Rose and talk about the past with us but if you win...," Samantha began when Dylan cut them off.
" We break up officially and keep the past in the past," Dylan said placing his memory card on the table.
Samantha hesitated but Rose did not even bother hesitating. Samantha asked Rose whether she was sure because she was putting her love on the line. Rose merely told her that the plan they came up was definitely going to work. Samantha now had courage. They placed their memory cards on the table. The match was accepted. They placed their cards into the table which also worked as a game center for Universe Clash. Dylan gave Samantha the chance to choose the terrain and she chose the ' Sky Zen Garden Temple '. Instantly, Dylan knew the plan they had hatched but he played along for Samantha's sake.
Once that was chosen, in came the character listing. Dylan had 123 different character designs, Samantha had 79 and Rose had 31. Then the rankings were shown with Dylan at first, Samantha at fifteen and Rose at fifty. Then the system asked them to input the headgear which were lowered from the compartment above their heads. They put them on and in the game they went.
The trio appeared in a Zen garden with clouds at human height and floating terrain. Boulders all over the sky. The system announced for the game to begin. Dylan's character was dressed in blue in a genie-like outfit and circular blades round his wrists, Samantha's character was a female knight with light armor and Rose's character was an assassin with a small dagger on her waste.
Dylan charged at Samantha swinging his arm at her and she parried the attack only for him to flip over her, kick her from behind and roundhouse kick Rose into a floating boulder. Samantha flew straight into a statue and crashed there. Rose went into the shadow of the boulder and hundreds of her appeared from the shadows of all the boulders in the sky. Samantha came back and swung her sword at Dylan who managed to block it, only to be launched into the air. He stopped smack dab into the splash zone. All the roses attacked from all directions taking chunks off of Dylan's life bar. He started with one billion but he was now half way down. The girls had six hundred million but each only lost a hundred million from his earlier kicks. That showed how much power Dylan's character had, especially with the terrain boost [ The character was air based and the terrain was an air terrain hence he received a boost in health and attack ]. Dylan got tired of this and created a tornado with his power. This tornado destroyed the boulders and even pulled in Samantha. The clones were destroyed to dust. Samantha was brought to Dylan who cut her character to pieces completely destroying her life bar. The character fell to the ground and the grim reaper took away the character down under. Dylan ended the tornado and landed only for the land to collapse and a cyclone to appear under the garden. The garden was designed to be in the eye of a cyclone but if a player grabbed the master of wind's scroll, they could use the master of the temple to activate the pull of the cyclone but at the cost of not moving at all once active. Dylan looked up as he was struggling to hold on and saw Samantha standing next to old man. She had a scroll in hand. Dylan was so pissed that he threw one of his blades at her and let go of the garden to throw the other. If he was going to die, he wanted Rose's character to die first. The blades hit her chest and started to drain her life bar. The two screamed at each other as the screen went black.
They quickly removed the headgear and saw on the table that Rose was the winner with life bar of one hundred. The girls cheered but Dylan had his head hang low. They noticed this and teased him on his loss when he looked up laughing with joy. He then said," This really brings back some good memories. Haven't lost since I played with dad. [ he gave a light sigh ] Fine, let's do this right. And talk about those memories i find so fond."
