Chapter 31 - 31: How Can You Have No Temper at All?

A mere tomato dares to shout at a human!

Kota pointed at Kushina and shouted that from now on, she would be called tomato. He asked if she had any problems with that.

Watching the arrogant Kota standing before her, Kushina actually calmed down.

Her hope of making new friends before bed last night was shattered. She finally realized that not everyone would be as friendly as Minato.

She asked him if he was deaf, reminding him that she had already stated her name was Kushina before class started.

Kushina's gaze gradually became dangerous.

Knowing that Minato's gentleness was not exclusive to her, Kushina was indeed a bit disappointed.

But Minato's protection of her was not fake, which gave her plenty of confidence to deal with the provocation from Kota and the other two boys.

And when it came to fighting, she had never been afraid of anyone.

Her Chakra was much stronger than others of her clan. To support such a massive and high-quality Chakra, her physical physique was naturally not lacking.

Kushina clenched her fists as her red hair began to fly, looking like a little tiger ready to pounce. Her dark eyes locked onto the three of them.

If these three blind fools dared to make a move, she would definitely show them what she was capable of doing.

Unfortunately, first-grade brats did not understand what a sense of crisis felt like.

Seeing that Kushina was not only unafraid but also looked ready to fight, Kota felt he had lost face and reached out to grab Kushina's hair.

Just as Kushina could not help but want to smash a fist into that annoying face, a figure suddenly appeared at the corner of the corridor.

Iruka Umino barked out to ask what they were doing.

Hearing this voice, Kota was startled and quickly withdrew his hand, turning to look toward the source of the sound.

He saw Iruka Umino walking quickly toward them, with Minato following unhurriedly behind him.

Before Iruka Umino could say anything else, Minato came to Kushina's side and said without concealment that he saw the three of them following her out with ill intentions. He explained that he called Teacher Umino because he suspected they were giving her trouble.

Kota and the other two looked resentful, thinking that Minato was a meddlesome guy.

Iruka Umino's face was very grim. With his overly upright personality, he despised this kind of behavior the most.

He told the three of them to get back to class immediately and copy the school rules $10$ times as punishment. He warned them that if they were missing a single word, their parents would have to come and process their withdrawal from the academy.

The three of them responded listlessly, but they did not forget to cast a threatening glance at Minato before leaving the area.

Minato returned a sunny smile and secretly gave them a peace sign.

Iruka Umino looked at Kushina and Yakushi Nonou, softening his tone slightly as he apologized for not educating those three properly. He asked if the two girls were hurt.

Kushina and Yakushi Nonou thanked him politely and assured him they were fine.

Only after Iruka Umino left did Kushina resentfully raise her small fist. She cursed the three bastards and told Minato that she would have shown them her power if the teacher had not arrived. She complained that calling a teacher was unmanly.

Hearing this, Minato smiled simply and said he just thought that classmates should get along well.

This was a complete lie.

As a modern person who had gone through over a decade of school life, Minato knew very well that as long as a conflict occurred in school, even winning the fight was meaningless. All actions were merely seen as a small conflict between students.

Teachers, who were used to this, would usually resolve the matter in a perfunctory way, and it was not even rare for them to favor the bullies.

Even if the bullies were scolded, the punishment would be trivial to them.

No matter the outcome, for the one being bullied, it would not solve any long-term problems.

In other words, confronting bullies within the school rules would only make oneself the weaker party, and it was impossible to give the other side a profound lesson.

Even if one had the ability to beat the other to death or disable them, it would only be a mutually destructive, last-resort strategy.

But if one stepped outside the school circle, things would be much simpler. Kushina looked at him in disbelief and asked how he could have no temper at all.

Minato chuckled and told her not to be angry anymore, offering to make her something delicious tonight. He suggested soft-fried tenderloin.

Kushina was clearly tempted and held up a chubby finger, saying she also wanted to eat coke chicken wings.

Minato nodded and turned to Yakushi Nonou, apologizing for the trouble he had caused her just now.

Yakushi Nonou praised him, saying it was fine and that she was impressed he knew how to cook. She truly felt that boys who could cook were excellent.

Minato nodded gently and said she flattered him, then felt a force from behind as Kushina pushed him toward the classroom.

Kushina told him to get back to the classroom quickly.

Seeing Minato being so gentle toward Yakushi Nonou as well, Kushina became even more convinced of what Yakushi Nonou had just said, and her face unconsciously tightened.

Seeing Minato's bewildered look, Yakushi Nonou could not help but chuckle.

She thought that perhaps only a lively and cheerful girl like Kushina was suited to be close to Minato.

She suddenly remembered what Danzo had said to her before.

Perhaps she did indeed have dark qualities within her.

The evidence was that just now in the restroom, when she said those things to Kushina, it was not out of a mission requirement but out of jealousy. It was a completely subconscious act.

After realizing this, Yakushi Nonou felt a deep sense of self-loathing.

Especially at the moment when Kushina shielded her behind her back without hesitation, she suddenly felt very ugly inside.

In the blink of an eye, evening arrived.

As soon as Nawaki returned home, he smelled a fragrance filling the house.

Realizing Minato was making something delicious again, he kicked off his shoes and rushed into the living room. He smelled the coke chicken wings and asked if Minato hadn't just made them last night.

Kushina was reading the manga Nawaki had lent her and told him it was a long story, explaining what had happened during the day.

When she reached the critical point, she became furious again and asked Nawaki if Minato's temper was a bit too good. She complained that he told the bullies that classmates should get along.

Nawaki's expression looked a bit strange when he heard that.

Everyone said Minato had a good personality, and Nawaki did not deny that. Minato was the most gentle and considerate boy he had ever met, bar none.

But if anyone said Minato had a good temper, Nawaki felt that was still up for debate.

He thought back to how he had merely said Minato was like a koala, and then was so scared he hung on a tree and did not dare come down.

He did not know if Minato's temper was good, but he knew very well whether he was broad-minded or not.

Minato Namikaze was the type of person whose true temper never showed on his face.

He would even swear on his own brother that this matter was not over. Those three kids would definitely run into big trouble later.
