Since the next day was the weekend, Dennis and Daisy went out for a stroll at the mall to watch a movie together at the cinema, spending some quality time as a couple after making up. Even so, Dennis was still struggling to accept the truth about himself. Every now and then, he would glance at Daisy beside him, who seemed cheerful and perfectly fine. That feeling of being unworthy of standing next to Daisy—because he was the child of the person who had hurt her—and the guilt he felt, even though he knew perfectly well he couldn't choose his parents, resurfaced and unsettled him.
But on the other hand, he also remembered his conversation with Daisy from the night before.
