The store had barely recovered from its latest chaos when Vario, ever curious and reckless, spotted something unusual on the counter: a single, expensive-looking cigar left behind by a customer.
"Hmm… I wonder how this tastes," Vario muttered, inspecting it like a rare snack.
Bella, who was busy organizing shelves, frowned immediately. "Vario… don't even think about it! That's not food!"
But of course, Vario didn't listen. With a mischievous grin, he popped the cigar into his mouth and… immediately started coughing violently.
"Vario! Spit it out!" Bella shouted, rushing to his side.
Purple smoke and frantic hacking filled the air as Vario clutched his throat, eyes watering. Nyx, ever ready with her camera, hesitated for a moment before realizing this was no time for filming.
Bella's instincts kicked in. She grabbed Vario firmly from behind, performing a makeshift Heimlich maneuver right there between the snack shelves.
"Come on, Vario! You're not dying on my watch!" Bella yelled, her voice echoing through the store.
With a sharp cough and a final gag, the cigar shot out of Vario's mouth, landing on the floor in a puff of smoke. Vario collapsed, gasping for air, while Bella patted his back firmly.
"Th-thanks…" Vario wheezed, clutching his chest. "I… I just wanted to see what it was like…"
Bella shook her head, exasperated. "Next time, look but don't taste. You almost killed yourself over a cigar!"
The monkey, perched on a nearby shelf, squeaked in disapproval, as if scolding Vario for his reckless curiosity.
Nyx, finally lowering her camera, muttered, "This store… I swear, every day is a new disaster episode."
Vario, now red-faced but relieved, gave a sheepish grin. "Lesson learned… I think."
