Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

From the distant stillness of the Supreme Kai's planet, Goku watched the battlefield on Earth unfold like a nightmare he couldn't wake from.

The air before him shimmered, projecting the clash below through Kaiōshin's power. What he saw made his jaw tighten, teeth grinding together as his fists clenched so hard his knuckles trembled.

Majin Buu had changed.

No—evolved.

The creature's body was leaner now, its aura darker, heavier, twisting with a sharp intelligence that hadn't been there before. Traces of Piccolo's calm menace lingered in its posture, while flashes of Krunks' reckless confidence bled through its movements. Power rolled off him in suffocating waves.

And Gohan—his son—was being pushed back.

On Earth, the battlefield trembled beneath their feet.

Gohan skidded backward through the air, boots carving long gouges into shattered stone as he barely managed to stop himself. He shot forward again instantly, teeth clenched, aura flaring white-hot as he drove a straight punch into Buu's chest.

The impact thundered across the ruins.

But instead of recoiling, Buu smiled.

"Too slow," Buu taunted, voice sharper now—calculated.

His arm stretched unnaturally, snapping around Gohan's wrist mid-strike. With a brutal twist of the shoulder—Piccolo's technique—Buu spun and hurled Gohan straight into the ground.

The earth exploded upward.

Gohan burst out of the crater in a flash, firing a rapid volley of ki blasts meant to force distance. Buu raised one hand calmly, fingers splayed.

"Special Beam Cannon."

A spiraling beam lanced through the smoke—Piccolo's signature move—forcing Gohan to twist sharply aside. The beam grazed his shoulder, burning through cloth and flesh alike, sending pain screaming through his arm.

Before Gohan could recover, Buu was already there.

A knee slammed into his ribs.

A spinning kick—Trunks' footwork—caught him under the jaw, sending him spiraling through the air. Gohan barely stabilized before Buu appeared above him, hands glowing.

"Gal—ick—" Buu paused, grinning. "No… this one better."

He slammed both palms downward.

A massive ki wave crashed into Gohan like a falling mountain, driving him straight into the ground again, burying him beneath layers of shattered earth. The landscape shook violently, shockwaves racing across the ruined plains.

For the first time since his power was unlocked, Gohan struggled to rise.

He pushed himself up slowly, breathing hard, aura flickering—not from weakness, but from the sheer pressure bearing down on him.

"This power…" Gohan muttered under his breath. "It's like fighting three warriors at once…"

Buu floated above him leisurely, arms crossed behind his head.

"Before, you were winning," Buu mocked. "But now Buu has brains… and tricks… and muscles."

He vanished.

Gohan's eyes widened just in time to raise his guard as Buu reappeared point-blank, unleashing a rapid flurry of blows—precise strikes mixed with wild, unpredictable angles. Piccolo's discipline. Trunks' aggression. Krilin's speed.

Each hit landed harder than the last.

On the Supreme Kai's planet, Goku growled under his breath.

"Damn it…" His hands shook as he stared at the projection. "He's using everything they know against Gohan…"

He took a step forward instinctively—then stopped.

The halo above his head glowed faintly.

He wasn't alive.

He couldn't help.

Old Kai, who had been watching quietly, sighed and scratched his chin. "Tch… figures. Just when things get interesting."

Goku snapped toward him. "Old Kai—there's gotta be something! I can't just stand here and watch my son—!"

Old Kai raised a hand. "Relax, relax. You're starting to sound like you're still alive."

Goku froze. "…What?"

Old Kai turned, his expression oddly calm beneath the usual grumbling. "You know… I've been thinking. Life, death—bit overrated, if you ask me."

Supreme Kai's eyes widened. "Elder Kai—!"

Old Kai waved him off. "Listen, kid. I'm already stuck here whether I'm alive or dead. Same planet. Same seat. Same old face looking at the same sky."

He glanced at Goku sideways. "But you? You've still got things to do."

Goku's eyes slowly widened as realization hit him. "You're saying—"

Old Kai reached up and removed the ring above his head. In that instant, the halo over Goku's head flickered… and vanished.

Supreme Kai gasped. "Elder Kai! If you do this—!"

"Yeah, yeah," Old Kai grumbled. "I'll be dead. Big difference. At least now I'll have an excuse to nap forever."

A surge of life rushed through Goku's body.

His ki flared—warm, real, alive.

Goku stared at his hands, then clenched them, emotion tightening his chest. "…Thank you."

Old Kai smirked. "Don't thank me yet. You're still gonna need more than fists."

He reached into his robe and pulled out two small earrings, each glinting faintly with divine light.

"Potara."

Goku blinked. "Ear…rings?"

"A new kind of fusion," Old Kai said proudly. "No dance. No time limit. Permanent."

Goku's breath caught. "Permanent…?"

Old Kai nodded. "Fuse with the right person, and you'll have the power to finish this."

Goku didn't hesitate.

"Gohan," he said immediately.

Supreme Kai stiffened. "If you fuse, you'll be one being forever."

Goku grinned faintly. "Heh… Chi-Chi's gonna lose it."

Old Kai snorted. "You're worried about that?"

Goku laughed softly, determination blazing in his eyes as he slipped the Potara onto his ear.

"Guess I just hope," he said, stepping toward the edge of the planet, "that after this… Chi-Chi doesn't make me go back to school."

With a flash of light, Goku vanished—

heading back to Earth for the final gamble.

The sky above the battlefield split open with a sudden flash of light.

Gohan barely had time to register it before his knees buckled.

Blood ran freely down his forehead, blurring his vision as he staggered backward, one hand pressed against his side where Majin Buu's last blow had cracked something deep inside. Every breath burned. His aura flickered weakly, unstable—not because his power was gone, but because his body was reaching its limit.

Majin Buu floated before him, smiling.

That smile was no longer childish.

It was sharp. Knowing.

"So strong… but still standing alone," Buu hummed, rolling his neck lazily. "You getting tired now?"

Gohan tried to straighten, but his legs trembled violently.

And then—

A pressure slammed into the battlefield like a falling star.

The ground shuddered. The air screamed.

Majin Buu's head snapped up just as a golden blur crashed into him from the side, driving him straight through three ruined stone pillars and into the side of a mountain.

The explosion was deafening.

"BACK AWAY FROM HIM."

The voice was familiar.

Too familiar.

Gohan's breath hitched as his eyes widened.

"Dad…?"

Smoke cleared, revealing Goku standing between Gohan and the shattered cliff, shoulders squared, fists clenched. His eyes burned with fury—not loud, not wild—but terrifyingly focused.

No halo.

Alive.

Without hesitation, Goku's aura erupted outward in a violent storm as his hair grew long and wild, golden lightning cracking violently around him.

Super Saiyan 3.

The shockwave alone forced Majin Buu to brace himself midair.

Gohan stared, disbelief washing over pain.

"You're— you're alive…?"

Goku didn't turn. "Yeah," he said quietly. "Sorry I'm late."

Majin Buu burst from the rubble, laughter echoing unnaturally as he wiped dust from his shoulder.

"Ahhh… so this is the other one," he grinned. "The loud one."

Goku vanished.

The next second, his fist buried itself into Buu's face.

The impact warped the air.

Buu's head snapped sideways as he was driven across the battlefield, skipping like a stone across shattered ground. Before he could recover, Goku was already there—knee to the gut, elbow to the spine, spinning kick to the jaw.

Blow after blow after blow.

Each strike carried crushing force, backed by raw, overwhelming ki.

"This one's for my son," Goku snarled, unleashing a barrage so fast the air detonated with every movement.

Buu retaliated, stretching his arm unnaturally—but Goku grabbed it mid-extension, spinning and hurling Buu skyward before firing a massive ki blast that swallowed the sky in light.

The explosion roared.

Gohan collapsed to one knee, gasping as the heat washed over him. Slowly, shakily, he forced himself to breathe, letting his ki settle just enough to stabilize his injuries.

His eyes never left Goku.

"…Super Saiyan 3," he whispered. "He kept this… even from me."

Majin Buu emerged from the smoke, his body already reforming.

"Strong," Buu admitted, eyes narrowing. "Very strong."

Goku hovered in place, aura raging violently. "Listen to me, Gohan," he said without looking back. "There's no time. We can end this—right now."

He reached to his ear, pulling free the Potara ring.

"Fusion. Permanent fusion."

Gohan stiffened. "Permanent…?"

"No dance. No limit," Goku said quickly as he dodged a sudden ki blast and countered with a crushing punch. "If we fuse, we win. No question."

Gohan nodded without hesitation.

"Do it."

Goku hurled the Potara ring toward him.

Time slowed.

Gohan reached out—

And missed.

The earring bounced once… twice… then vanished into the debris.

"…No."

Gohan's heart dropped.

Goku felt it instantly. "Gohan?!"

"I—I dropped it!" Gohan panicked, scanning the ruined ground desperately as explosions continued overhead. "I can't see it—!"

Goku gritted his teeth and surged forward again, intercepting Buu before he could reach Gohan.

"Then find it!" Goku roared as he clashed with Buu head-on. "I'll hold him!"

Their fists collided midair, shockwaves tearing the battlefield apart. Goku drove Buu backward with a brutal headbutt, following up with a point-blank blast that sent Buu crashing through the ground.

Gohan scrambled through rubble, ignoring pain, eyes scanning wildly.

Please…

please…

Behind him, unnoticed—

A small piece of Majin Buu's body twitched.

Barely the size of a hand.

It slithered silently across the ground, blending perfectly with the debris.

Goku and Buu exchanged blows at blinding speed, neither yielding. Buu used Piccolo's stretching limbs, Trunks' speed, even Krunks' reckless aggression—but Goku matched him strike for strike, raw power against stolen technique.

"Why won't you fall?!" Buu snarled.

Goku's eyes burned. "Because I won't let you touch my family again!"

He slammed Buu into the ground and fired a massive Kamehameha that tore a canyon through the battlefield.

Gohan spotted something glinting beneath broken stone.

"There—!"

He lunged forward, grabbing the Potara ring just as relief flooded his chest.

"I got it!"

That was when the slime struck.

It wrapped around his arm instantly.

"What—?!"

The substance expanded violently, crawling up his shoulder, across his chest, burning cold and suffocating.

Gohan screamed.

"DAD—!"

Goku turned—

And his blood froze.

"No—!"

Majin Buu laughed as the slime dragged Gohan toward him, stretching and pulling him helplessly closer.

"So clever," Buu mocked softly. "So careless."

Goku launched himself forward, abandoning defense, abandoning everything.

"LET HIM GO!"

But it was too late.

The slime connected.

Gohan's body was pulled into Buu's chest, swallowed whole as Buu's body warped and expanded violently, energy exploding outward in a horrifying surge.

Goku stopped midair.

His scream tore through the sky.

"GOHAAAAAN!"

Majin Buu stood taller now. Stronger. His aura twisted violently, overflowing with stolen power.

And Goku hovered alone before him—

The Potara ring still clutched uselessly in Gohan's vanished hand.

Majin Buu's body settled into its new shape as the surge of stolen power finally stabilized.

The battlefield felt wrong.

The air itself seemed heavier, crushed beneath an overwhelming pressure that twisted the sky into unnatural spirals. Goku hovered at a distance, fists clenched so tightly his knuckles bled, staring at the creature before him.

Gohan.

Piccolo.

Krillin.

Trunks.

All gone.

Absorbed.

Majin Buu stretched lazily, rolling his shoulders as unfamiliar yet terrifyingly refined movements rippled through his body. His posture was straighter now, his eyes sharper—calculating.

"So noisy earlier," Buu said, voice layered, distorted by the souls inside him. "Why so quiet now?"

Goku didn't answer.

His aura flared violently as he exploded forward.

Their fists collided midair with a shockwave so massive it shattered mountains miles away. Goku pressed forward, unleashing a relentless assault—heavy hooks, spinning kicks, point-blank ki blasts—each strike carrying everything he had left.

This wasn't rage anymore.

This was survival.

Majin Buu countered flawlessly.

A stretched arm snapped around Goku's ankle, yanking him downward before Buu slammed him into the ground hard enough to carve a crater. Goku rebounded instantly, firing a Kamehameha from mid-spin, forcing Buu to brace himself.

Buu laughed as the beam washed over him, smoke curling harmlessly from his body.

"So strong," Buu mused. "But you feel… empty."

Goku reappeared above him, smashing both fists down like a hammer.

"I won't stop," Goku growled. "I don't care what you absorbed. I'll keep fighting!"

They clashed again—faster, harder. Goku's Super Saiyan 3 power shook the planet, lightning cracking wildly around him. He drove Buu back again and again, forcing him on the defensive through sheer ferocity.

But something was wrong.

Goku felt it.

His ki was draining too fast.

Every second in this form was tearing pieces from him, and Buu—now carrying Gohan's overwhelming potential and Piccolo's tactical precision—was learning. Adapting.

Buu suddenly used Piccolo's technique, firing razor-sharp ki blasts from impossible angles. Goku dodged most, but one clipped his shoulder, spinning him off balance. Krillin's Destructo Disc followed immediately—copied perfectly—forcing Goku to block instead of counter.

Then Trunks' speed.

Then Gohan's power.

Goku was pushed back, breath ragged, body screaming in protest.

I can't win like this…

He steadied himself midair, heart pounding.

I can stall him. I can keep him busy.

But defeat…?

No.

Not like this.

Majin Buu smiled wider.

"You're thinking too much," Buu taunted. "That means you're afraid."

Goku wiped blood from his mouth, forcing himself upright.

"…Yeah," he admitted quietly. "I am."

Another brutal exchange followed. Goku was sent crashing into the ground again, struggling to rise as Buu descended slowly, methodically.

For the first time in his life—

Goku felt helpless.

What do I do…?

Then—

A familiar ki flared nearby.

Sharp. Proud. Burning with barely restrained fury.

Goku's head snapped up.

"No way…"

A blue-and-gold aura erupted across the battlefield as a figure stepped forward from the smoke, arms crossed, eyes blazing.

Vegeta.

Alive.

"What a mess you've made, Kakarot," Vegeta said coldly, surveying the destruction. "I leave Earth for a while, and you let it fall apart."

Goku stared, stunned.

"Vegeta…?"

Vegeta smirked faintly. "Don't look so shocked. That dragon owed me."

Hope—raw and sudden—hit Goku like a lightning strike.

"…You're really here."

Majin Buu turned his head, intrigued. "Another one?"

Vegeta cracked his neck. "So you're the monster that killed me."

He vanished.

The next second, Vegeta slammed into Buu's face with a ferocious kick, driving him backward before unleashing a rapid-fire barrage of ki blasts that lit the sky like fireworks.

Goku joined instantly.

Side by side.

The two Saiyans fought in perfect, instinctive sync—Vegeta's ruthless precision complementing Goku's overwhelming force. Together they drove Buu back, striking from opposite angles, refusing to give him space to counter.

As they fought, Goku shouted over the chaos.

"Vegeta! We can end this—but we have to fuse!"

Vegeta snarled, blasting Buu away. "Absolutely not!"

"It's permanent—Potara fusion!"

"Then it's even worse!"

Goku blocked a devastating counterattack, skidding backward through the air.

"Listen to me!" Goku yelled. "I can't beat him alone. Neither can you!"

Vegeta's eyes flashed with anger. "I will not lose myself!"

They clashed with Buu again, both taking heavy hits now. The power difference was undeniable.

Goku's voice dropped.

"…Bulma."

Vegeta froze mid-motion.

Goku pressed on. "If we fail here, there won't be an Earth. No Bulma. No Trunks. No one."

Buu charged.

Vegeta blasted him away reflexively, fists shaking.

"…Don't," Vegeta growled. "Don't say her name."

Goku met his eyes. "Then help me protect her."

For a long second, Vegeta said nothing.

Then—slowly—he reached up and took the Potara ring.

"…One time," Vegeta muttered. "Only because I refuse to lose to this thing."

He placed the earring on his left ear.

Goku's eyes widened with relief.

"Thank you."

Majin Buu lunged toward them—

Too late.

The Potara earrings glowed blindingly bright.

A massive force yanked Goku and Vegeta together, space itself warping violently as their bodies spun toward one another.

Vegeta clenched his fists, aura exploding outward.

Goku laughed—wild, fearless.

Light consumed everything.

The battlefield shook as a new presence was born—overwhelming, confident, absolute.

When the light faded, a single warrior hovered in its place.

Arms crossed.

Smiling.

"Alright," the fusion said calmly, power radiating effortlessly. "Let's finish this."

Vegito had arrived.

The moment Vegito opened his eyes, the battlefield understood fear.

The sky warped outward from his presence, clouds shredding into spirals as raw pressure rolled across the ruins. His aura didn't explode—it settled, heavy and controlled, like a god deciding whether the world beneath him was worth standing on.

Majin Buu felt it instantly.

His smile twitched.

"…New one?" Buu muttered, eyes narrowing.

Vegito cracked his neck slowly, hands still tucked into his vest as if this were nothing more than a warm-up. He glanced down at Buu, then sighed.

"So," Vegito said casually, "you're the thing that's been giving everyone trouble."

Buu's grin widened. "Strong talk. Buu likes strong toys."

He vanished.

The air detonated behind Vegito as Buu reappeared mid-punch, his arm stretching unnaturally, power condensed into a single devastating blow meant to crush continents.

Vegito leaned his head to the side.

The punch missed by inches.

Before Buu could react, Vegito caught the stretched arm with one hand.

"That all?" Vegito asked, unimpressed.

He twisted.

The torque alone sent shockwaves ripping across the battlefield as Buu was hurled through three mountain ranges, his body carving trenches through stone before he finally skidded to a stop miles away.

Vegito vanished.

Buu barely had time to reform before Vegito appeared above him and drove a knee straight into his skull. The impact slammed Buu into the ground, cracking the planet's surface outward like shattered glass.

Buu bounced—then screamed as Vegito grabbed him by the antenna and dragged him across the earth, sparks and debris screaming in their wake.

"Too slow," Vegito muttered.

He flung Buu skyward and appeared above him instantly, hammering him back down with a double-fisted smash that detonated on impact.

The explosion lit the horizon.

Dust rolled for miles.

Buu pulled himself from the crater, body steaming, grin strained now.

"…You hurt Buu."

Vegito hovered calmly, inspecting his glove. "Yeah. That's usually how this goes."

Buu roared and unleashed a massive ki barrage—Piccolo's precision mixed with Gohan's overwhelming output. Beams laced the sky, intersecting into a web of annihilation.

Vegito flew through it.

Ki washed over him, detonating uselessly against his aura as he closed the distance in a blink. He drove his elbow into Buu's chest, folding him inward, then followed with a spinning kick that sent Buu spiraling out of control.

Before Buu could stabilize, Vegito appeared beside him again, delivering a rapid combination—fists, knees, elbows—each blow landing with surgical brutality.

"Left side open."

Hit.

"Too predictable."

Hit.

"You absorbed power but didn't earn it."

HIT.

Buu screamed as Vegito slammed him into the ground again and pinned him there with one foot pressed against his chest.

"Listen carefully," Vegito said, leaning down. "You're strong. I'll give you that. But you're sloppy. You rely on stolen power and panic when it doesn't work."

He lifted his foot.

Buu fired a surprise beam point-blank.

Vegito caught it.

With his bare hand.

The beam collapsed inward like it had hit a wall, vanishing into nothing.

Buu's eyes widened.

Vegito flicked his wrist—and the reflected blast exploded against Buu's face, launching him screaming into the sky.

Vegito followed leisurely, hands behind his head.

"C'mon," he taunted. "I know you can do better."

Buu roared and expanded his body massively, muscles swelling grotesquely as he charged with raw force. He swung wildly, stretching limbs in every direction, turning the sky into a cage of flesh and destruction.

Vegito didn't dodge.

He walked forward.

Each strike stopped inches from him, blocked effortlessly, redirected, dismissed. Vegito grabbed one stretched arm, yanked Buu forward, and headbutted him so hard the shockwave flattened everything below.

Buu reeled.

Vegito's expression hardened.

"Playtime's over."

He vanished.

Reappeared behind Buu.

"Spirit Sword."

A blade of pure energy formed along Vegito's arm as he drove it clean through Buu's torso.

Buu screamed as his body convulsed, energy tearing through him internally.

Vegito ripped the blade free and slashed downward, splitting Buu's body apart before blasting him point-blank with a Final Kamehameha.

Blue and gold energy fused into a catastrophic torrent that swallowed Buu completely, obliterating everything in its path.

The blast finally faded.

Smoke lingered.

Silence.

Vegito hovered, breathing steady.

"…Huh," he said. "Still alive."

From the smoke, Buu reformed slowly, body knitting itself together, grin returning—strained, twisted, but there.

"Regeneration," Vegito muttered. "Right."

Buu laughed weakly. "Buu… can't lose."

Vegito smiled.

"Oh, you absolutely can."

He powered up.

Not explosively.

Controlled.

His aura expanded, compressing space, the very atmosphere screaming under its weight. Lightning cracked violently as Vegito's power climbed higher—far higher.

Buu staggered backward, instinctively retreating.

Vegito vanished and appeared directly in front of him, fist already moving.

The punch landed.

The sound came after the impact.

Buu's body bent around Vegito's fist as he was launched across the sky, crashing through the horizon like a meteor.

Vegito crossed his arms, watching calmly.

"Yeah," he said quietly. "That's more like it."

For the first time since awakening—

Majin Buu felt terror.

And Vegito hadn't even started trying yet.

Kid Buu moved first.

There was no warning. No roar. No buildup of ki.

He simply appeared.

The space where Goku had been standing imploded as Kid Buu's fist passed through it, the shockwave tearing the ground apart like paper. Goku reappeared a split second later, skidding backward through the air, boots carving white lines through the sky as he barely steadied himself.

Vegeta charged from the side, aura flaring, driving a full-powered punch straight into Kid Buu's face.

It connected.

Kid Buu's head snapped sideways—but then twisted back unnaturally, his grin returning as if the blow had meant nothing.

He grabbed Vegeta's wrist.

Crack.

Vegeta gasped as bones strained, pain flashing through his arm. He snarled and kicked Buu square in the chest, breaking free, but Kid Buu only laughed—high-pitched, manic, delighted.

"This is bad," Goku muttered, reappearing beside Vegeta. "Really bad."

Kid Buu didn't fight like the others.

There was no strategy. No restraint. No hesitation.

Only destruction.

"Damn it!" Vegeta shouted. "He's trying to blow it up already!"

Then he exploded outward.

The shockwave slammed into both Saiyans like a god's hammer, hurling them miles apart through space.

Vegeta slammed into a fragment of the dying planet, coughing, armor cracked, blood trailing from his mouth.

Goku barely managed to stop himself before smashing into another chunk of debris.

If Kid Buu keep going. Then there will be

No Earth.

No battlefield.

Only ruin.

Goku reappeared beside Vegeta, breathing hard. His Super Saiyan 3 form flickered dangerously.

"This won't work," Goku said grimly. "Not here. Not like this."

Vegeta wiped blood from his chin, eyes locked on Kid Buu. "…You got an idea, Kakarot?"

Goku hesitated only a second.

"Yes."

Vegeta glanced at him sharply. "Spit it out."

"When I get close to him," Goku said, lowering his voice, "touch me."

Vegeta frowned. "What?"

"I'll use Instant Transmission," Goku continued. "I'll take us—and him—somewhere else."

Vegeta's eyes widened slightly. "You're insane. Where?"

Goku swallowed.

"…The Supreme Kai's planet."

For a moment, Vegeta said nothing.

Then he laughed—a short, sharp sound.

"You're going to drop that thing onto the Kai's world?"

"I don't have a choice," Goku snapped. "If we keep fighting here, he'll wipe out everything left. There won't be any worlds to save."

Vegeta clicked his tongue, jaw tight. "…Tch. Typical. Always dragging gods into your mess."

Kid Buu tilted his head, sensing them plotting. His smile widened, and he vanished.

"Now!" Goku shouted.

Kid Buu appeared right in front of Goku, fist already swinging.

Goku stepped into the attack.

Vegeta grabbed Goku's shoulder.

And the universe folded.

One moment, Supreme Kai's planet was calm—green skies, sacred winds whispering through ancient trees.

The next—

Space tore open.

Three figures appeared above the ground in a burst of distorted light.

Supreme Kai's eyes went wide.

"W–WHAT—?!"

Goku stumbled forward, releasing Super Saiyan 3 as he landed. Vegeta dropped beside him, already raising his guard.

Kid Buu hovered between them.

The planet itself reacted.

The sky darkened instantly. Sacred winds howled into violent storms. The ground cracked as divine energy clashed with pure chaos.

Supreme Kai froze.

"…M-Majin… Buu?"

Kid Buu looked around, curious for half a second.

Then he smiled.

"Oh no," Goku breathed.

Kid Buu slammed both hands into the ground.

The shockwave tore across the planet, ancient stone shattering, sacred land ripped open. Supreme Kai was thrown backward, crashing hard into the earth.

Goku appeared beside him instantly, catching him before he could fall further.

"I— I'm sorry!" Goku said quickly, panic bleeding into his voice. "I didn't have any other place to fight him!"

Supreme Kai stared at him, mouth open, words refusing to come out.

This was his planet. His sanctuary. The last safe place in the universe.

And now this monster was standing on it.

Kid Buu laughed and fired an energy blast straight upward.

The blast pierced the sky—and detonated.

The planet shook violently.

Vegeta roared and intercepted the next attack, blasting Kid Buu backward. "MOVE, KAKAROT!"

Goku nodded, setting Supreme Kai down gently. "Please—just… get somewhere safe."

Supreme Kai still hadn't spoken.

He couldn't.

He could only watch as the two Saiyans launched themselves at Kid Buu once more.

The fight resumed instantly—faster, fiercer, more desperate.

Kid Buu moved like a living catastrophe, his body contorting, striking from impossible angles. He bit, clawed, blasted, laughed—every move driven by annihilation.

Vegeta was slammed into the ground hard enough to leave a crater miles wide

.

Goku countered with a full-powered Kamehameha, blue light flooding the sky—

Kid Buu ran through it.

He burst from the beam, body smoking but regenerating as he drove his head straight into Goku's chest.

Crack.

Goku screamed as ribs snapped, his body launched across the planet. He skidded to a stop, coughing blood, Super Saiyan 3 flickering violently.

Vegeta staggered to his feet, teeth clenched.

"…Damn it," he growled. "He's not slowing down at all."

Kid Buu floated above them, arms twitching, eyes wild.

Supreme Kai watched in horror as his world continued to fracture beneath their power.

This wasn't a battle.

It was an extinction event.

Goku forced himself up, breathing ragged.

"We can't beat him like this," he admitted. "I can barely hold this form… and he just keeps coming."

Vegeta glanced at him.

For once—no insult came.

Only grim understanding.

The wind screamed across the broken planet. Sacred trees lay shattered. Cracks of raw energy pulsed through the ground like veins.

Supreme Kai finally found his voice.

"…This… this should never have come here…"

Goku looked at him, guilt heavy in his eyes.

"I know," he said softly. "I'm sorry."

Kid Buu screamed suddenly—high, furious—and charged again.

Vegeta stepped forward without hesitation, aura blazing.

"Enough," he snarled. "If this is the end—then we face it head-on."

The battlefield on the Supreme Kai's planet no longer looked like land.

It looked like a wound.

What had once been floating fields of grass and smooth stone was now a shattered scar of craters, torn earth, and burning air. Ki storms twisted the atmosphere itself, bending light, sound, and gravity around the three figures clashing at its center.

Goku stood there, breath ragged, chest heaving violently as golden lightning crawled across his body. His hair hung long and wild down his back—Super Saiyan 3—yet even this form, once godlike, now trembled under the weight of exhaustion. Every breath felt heavier than the last. His muscles screamed. His heart hammered unevenly.

Beside him, Vegeta wiped blood from the corner of his mouth with the back of his glove. His Super Saiyan 2 aura flared violently, crackling with stubborn fury rather than strength. His armor was shattered, one shoulder guard completely gone, his bodysuit torn and burned. Still, his eyes burned with the same pride they always had.

In front of them stood Kid Buu.

No tactics.

No hesitation.

No mercy.

Just destruction given form.

Kid Buu tilted his head, crimson eyes gleaming with amusement as he bounced lightly on his heels, as if this were nothing more than a game. His body rippled unnaturally, regenerating from every wound Goku and Vegeta had inflicted moments ago—as if pain itself refused to stay on him.

Vegeta growled and stepped forward first.

"Don't you dare look away from us," he snarled, aura flaring brighter. "I'm not finished yet!"

He vanished.

A shockwave ripped through the ground as Vegeta reappeared above Kid Buu, fist crashing down with everything he had left. The impact detonated the air itself, flattening what remained of the battlefield for kilometers.

Kid Buu's body bent grotesquely under the blow—

—and then snapped back.

A pale hand shot up, catching Vegeta by the face.

Time slowed.

Kid Buu smiled.

Then he threw him.

Vegeta's body became a comet of screaming ki as he tore through the sky. He slammed into the first mountain with such force that the peak didn't explode—it collapsed inward, pulverized instantly. His body never stopped. He tore through a second mountain, then a third, then a fourth, each impact releasing thunderous shockwaves that rippled across the planet.

Fifth.

Sixth.

Seventh.

Only after the seventh mountain was reduced to rubble did Vegeta finally stop—embedded deep into stone, unmoving.

"VEGETA!" Goku shouted.

Kid Buu didn't even look back.

His attention had already shifted.

To Goku.

The creature raised both arms slowly, almost curiously. Purple-black ki began to gather between his palms, swelling, condensing, warping space around it. The air screamed as the energy grew—far denser than anything before. This wasn't a blast meant to wound.

This was annihilation.

Goku tried to move.

His body didn't respond.

His legs trembled uselessly. His arms refused to lift. His Super Saiyan 3 aura flickered violently, sputtering like a dying flame. He could feel it—his stamina was gone. Completely gone.

So this is it…

Guess I finally pushed too far…

Kid Buu hurled the giant ki bomb forward.

The world turned white.

Across the universe—

On Another planet,

Shin's hands shook uncontrollably. Old Kai stared wide-eyed, mouth open, unable to speak for once in his long life. Kibito's breath caught in his throat.

On Earth,

Dende's vision trembled as tears welled in his eyes, the divine viewing spell barely holding together.

Bulma clutched her chest, unable to breathe.

Chi-Chi screamed Goku's name until her voice broke.

Gohan froze, eyes wide with horror.

Piccolo's fists clenched so tightly that blood seeped from his palms.

Krillin fell to his knees.

Trunks stared in silence, shaking.

Yamcha turned away, unable to watch.

Videl's hands trembled violently as she stared at the glowing white void on the screen, her mind refusing to accept what it was seeing.

Even Mr. Popo lowered his head.

Everything was gone.

Then—

The light began to fade.

Slowly.

Painfully.

Shapes emerged from the white.

First the ruined land.

Then the swirling smoke.

Then—

A figure.

Standing.

Between Goku and the blast.

The ki attack—an energy mass powerful enough to erase planets—was gone.

Completely stopped.

Goku's eyes widened.

His heart skipped.

He didn't need to see the face.

He didn't need to sense the ki.

He knew.

Everyone knew.

A small figure floated calmly in the air, back turned to Goku. Crimson energy flowed around him—not violent, not chaotic, but vast. His hair burned red, his eyes glowing with the same divine hue. The air around him felt… different. Heavier. Deeper.

Kid Buu stared.

For the first time—

He looked confused.

The figure slowly turned his head just enough for Goku to see his profile.

A familiar face.

"You really picked a rough time to almost die, Dad."

Goku's breath caught.

"G… Goten…?"

The boy turned fully now, hovering effortlessly, red hair glowing softly as divine ki rolled outward like a calm tide. His expression wasn't cocky.

It was focused.

Battle-ready.

He looked at the destroyed battlefield, at Kid Buu, at the devastation—and then glanced back at Goku, smiling faintly.

"…Looks like I'm not that much late."

The universe exhaled.
