Hello everyone!
Before you step into Vultus, I want to talk to you for a moment, not as an author behind a story, but as a person behind a screen.
I've always been a creative kid. The kind that lives too much in their head, building worlds, characters, and "what ifs" instead of paying attention to what's right in front of them, you know? Stories were always there for me (part of it is because I am a HUGE anime fan overall). Not just as entertainment, but as a place to put thoughts I didn't know how to explain out loud. For a long time, I wanted to pour those ideas into a book. This novel is me finally doing that!
Vultus exists because I needed it to. It's a story born from curiosity, imagination, and a lot of trial and error. But it's also a way for me to vent, to pour emotions, frustrations, doubts, and feelings I don't always know how to express into something creative. Writing this story is how I make sense of certain things, even when they're messy or unclear.
I didn't start this with the goal of writing something perfect or revolutionary. I started it because I wanted to create a world that felt alive to me, one with its own rules, mysteries, and weight. A place where characters struggle, grow, and sometimes break under the pressure of the power they hold, and not your "regular" level up novel.
This will be a long novel, I assure you, and the chapters themselves will be long too. I like taking my time with scenes, details, and character moments, so don't expect short or rushed updates (sorry). Some things are intentionally left unexplained, some answers are delayed, and some questions are meant to sit with you for a while. I ask for your patience, and honestly, a bit of mercy, because this is my first real work. I'm learning as I go, and every chapter is part of that learning process.
I'm completely open to comments, criticism, and suggestions on how to improve! If you have thoughts, good or bad, feel free to share them. I genuinely want to grow as a writer, and feedback means a lot to me.
Most of all, I'm excited. Excited to write, excited to explore this world, and excited to see where Vultus goes. If you decide to give this story a chance, know that you're stepping into something personal. I'm not here to sell you perfection, I'm here to share a world I've carried for a long time and finally had the courage to write down.
