Chapter 1 - Beerus In Kuoh Town

In the small town of Kuoh, a place where strange and supernatural things slipped quietly into everyday life, a three-story flat stood tucked between ordinary apartment buildings. Nothing about it looked special from the outside.

Yet.

On the third floor, the sliding glass door leading to the balcony was left wide open.

A cool early-morning breeze drifted inside, carrying with it the faint scent of dew and distant asphalt. The thin curtains fluttered softly, brushing against the walls in a slow, rhythmic motion.

Inside the modest but well-furnished living room, a teenage boy sat slouched on the couch, his elbows resting on his knees, his gaze fixed on the blank wall ahead of him.

He wasn't really seeing it.

His name was Silas Morvane.

For several long seconds, the only sound in the room was the quiet hum of the city far below. Then, a faint smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

'So… I actually entered DxD,' he thought, amusement and disbelief mixing together. 'And I can already sense Rias from here.'

That alone told him everything he needed to know.

Silas pushed himself up from the couch and walked toward the mirror positioned near the center of the room. He stopped in front of it, studying the reflection staring back at him.

The boy in the mirror had tanned skin, clean and unscarred. His black hair fell naturally, slightly messy yet sharp in a way that suited him.

What stood out the most were his eyes—a vivid purple, deep and unnatural, carrying a quiet intensity behind them.

He was tall for his age, his build lean yet clearly muscular, the kind of physique that came from natural talent rather than excessive effort.

Even standing still, there was something about him—an invisible pressure, subtle but undeniable.

From appearances alone, Silas Morvane exuded presence.

He turned slightly to his left.

On a small table beside the couch lay a neatly folded school uniform and a single envelope placed on top of it.

The sight made him chuckle under his breath. Walking over, he picked up the letter and opened it, his eyes scanning the contents.

『Hey Silas.

This is the ROB speaking.

I've sorted out everything you'll ever need in this world—money, a nice flat, and I've already registered you into Kuoh Academy so you can get some education.

Have fun, kid. You deserve it.

See ya.』

Silas let out a quiet laugh.

"Well, i don't have to worry about that at least" he muttered, placing the letter back on the table.

He stretched his arms over his head, rolling his shoulders, then his neck, before stretching his legs as well—testing the body, getting a feel for it.

Everything felt… right. He glanced at the digital clock on the wall.

5:00 AM.

The sky outside was still dark, the sun nowhere near ready to rise. The world felt paused, as if waiting for something to happen.

'Alright,' Silas thought, a spark of excitement lighting up his eyes. 'Time to seize the day… or whatever.'

Silas hadn't been born into this world.

He came from another—the real world—where his life had ended far too early. He had died saving a little girl from a burning building, rushing into the flames without hesitation.

A teenager with an entire world of possibilities ahead of him… gone in an instant.

Or so it should have been.

Instead, he found himself standing before a being known simply as ROB. No judgment. Just a wheel of fate and a question.

And a reward. Silas had been granted power. Not just any power.

He had been given the abilities of the God of Destruction—Beerus.

When he first received them, the sheer potential nearly overwhelmed him. Space responding to his presence.

Energy bending to his will. Destruction resting casually at his fingertips. He had tested the power almost immediately, learning—very quickly—that the title wasn't an exaggeration.

Then the wheel was spun.

And fate dropped him into the world of High School DxD.

Now, standing alone in a quiet apartment in Kuoh Town, with monsters, devils, fallen angels, and gods lurking just beneath the surface of daily life…

Silas smiled.

"This should be fun… but first, I'm hungry," he muttered to himself.

His stomach growled right on cue, breaking the quiet of the apartment. Walking over to the small kitchen area, Silas grabbed a box of cereal and a carton of milk from the fridge—both already stocked, courtesy of ROB.

He poured himself a bowl, the sound of crunchy corn flakes echoing softly in the room, then carried it back to the couch.

He dropped down lazily—and immediately felt something hard beneath him.

"Hmm?"

Silas frowned and stood up, lifting the cushion. Lying there was a sleek smartphone, thin and modern, its dark screen reflecting the room's light. He picked it up, turning it over in his hand.

"Guess this is mine."

He pressed the power button. The screen lit up instantly, a soft chime sounding as the front camera activated. In less than a second, the phone scanned his face and unlocked without hesitation.

'Face recognition already registered… figures,' he thought, shoveling a spoonful of cereal into his mouth.

Chewing absentmindedly, Silas began scrolling through the phone. Everything was already set up—contacts, messaging apps, school notifications, even social media accounts he didn't remember making.

ROB really hadn't missed a thing.

Then he saw it.

A banking app.

Silas paused, a memory surfacing. Money, a nice flat… everything you'll ever need. With a raised eyebrow, he tapped the app and waited for it to load.

The balance appeared.

Silas froze.

His chewing slowed… then stopped completely.

"…"

His eyes widened.

'Ten… million dollars?!' he thought, nearly choking on his cereal. 'That's like… a billion yen!'

He stared at the screen for a few more seconds just to make sure it wasn't a glitch. It wasn't. The number remained, solid and very real.

"Well damn," he muttered, letting out a low whistle.

Finishing his breakfast in a daze, Silas placed the bowl in the sink and set the phone down on the table. He headed into the bathroom, letting the warm shower water cascade over him, washing away the last remnants of sleep—and grounding him in reality.

This wasn't a dream.

After drying off, he slipped into the Kuoh Academy uniform, adjusting the collar and straightening the jacket.

The fabric fit perfectly, as if it had been tailored just for him, which it was technically. Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he took one last glance around the apartment.

'Money's next to useless in this world,' he thought calmly. Devils, angels, gods—none of them cared about wealth. 'But there's no sin in being rich. I'll use it properly.'

With that, Silas grabbed his phone, locked the door behind him, and made his way down the stairwell.

The building was quiet at this hour, his footsteps echoing faintly as he descended.

Outside, the morning air was crisp and refreshing. The sky had begun to lighten, hints of gold creeping over the horizon as the town slowly woke up.

Silas opened his map and started walking, following the route toward Kuoh Academy.

His heartbeat quickened slightly.

'Rias… Akeno… and more…' Names he'd known only as characters in a story were now part of his reality.

A grin spread across his face.

He couldn't wait to meet them.
