There were lifeless plants, grass, trees, or anything around; the place was filled with a terrifying silence. However, a flock of crows made that silence even more horrifying. Every crow was making noise, but each cry sounded more disturbing than the last, slowly turning into something resembling human screams. And there were only three people there.
Zach: Where is the Relic?
Lucifer let out a terrifying smile.
Lucifer: I gave it to a new member. So it isn't here.
Zach clenched his hand.
Zach (Thinking): They already obtained the Relic… damn it.
Zach (Thinking): The real problem isn't the Relic. The demon's aura in front of us is terrifying. His energy doesn't seem higher than mine, but the power of his aura is basically telling me you're going to die.
Even though Lucifer's aura wasn't as large as Zach's, it was obvious that Lucifer's Technique existed on an entirely different level. The eyes of the crows flying above them began bleeding. Their wings suddenly tightened, their legs stretched as if they were evolving. Their bodies kept growing larger, their wings expanding further, and black arms started emerging from beneath them.
At that moment, it became clear these crows were actually Demon-level beings hiding in the form of crows. That was why Lucifer could communicate with them.
The crows finally completed their transformation. They became humanoid crows with black arms, three clawed fingers, wings as large as cars, glowing red eyes and there were forty-one of them.
Richard (Thinking): All of them are Demon-level creatures! Especially that man called Lucifer… he's probably the one destined to become this era's new Demon King!
Zach (Thinking): Damn it… A Great Demon with the potential to become Demon King stands before us.
Wasn't Liberty supposed to be the one and only Demon King?
No. Because every era gives birth to a new Demon King.
Liberty was the Demon King of the Chaos Era.
In the year 2219, during the Golden Age of the Guardians, there was a Demon King named Diablo.
In the year 2719, during the Age of Thunderous Ascension, there was a Demon King known as Quzu.
The era connected to the year 2919 and the present was named the Sacred Era, because no new Demon King appeared and no new great threat emerged.
But perhaps… we are about to enter a brand-new era.
With a disgusting and terrifying smile, Lucifer spoke.
Lucifer: Who will deal with these demons?
Zach was about to move toward the demons, but Richard stopped him.
Richard: You're stronger than me. Go deal with that Great Demon. I'll handle the demon swarm quickly.
Without turning back, Zach raised his thumb silently signaling approval.
Richard: I trust you.
Lucifer pointed toward the demonic crows and then indicated Richard with his index finger.
Lucifer: Attack him.
The entire flock immediately turned toward Richard. Spreading their wings, they began flying at him while violently flapping them. Richard instantly dashed to the left at incredible speed, and the entire swarm chased after him. Their flight released powerful winds strong enough to push a car slightly.
As soon as the swarm left, Zach and Lucifer released massive auras. It felt as if the battlefield itself was preparing for war.
Lucifer: How much can you entertain me?
Zach: I could send you straight to hell, for example.
Violent winds began raging as energy waves formed from the overwhelming pressure of their auras.
But while a serious battle was about to begin here, something entirely different was happening for Jack and Bob.
Location : Deadland City, Inside the Ruined Football Stadium
The entire area was destroyed. Seats were rusted or crushed under massive metal debris. The place was silent, and Jack and Bob stood at the center for seemingly no reason.
Jack: We need to head to the Temple quickly, Bob.
Bob was digging into the middle of the football field with his hammer while replying.
Bob: If I remember correctly, I buried something legendary here.
Jack sighed and scratched his head with his right hand.
Jack: Just find it already so we can leave.
Suddenly, a terrifying female voice came from behind them.
- - - : I see the carrier of Liberty's bearer, Arthur, is unprotected.
Jack and Bob felt an overwhelming aura so horrifying it was as if the screams of dead people echoed through the air. Jack immediately turned around and saw a dark figure, taking a combat stance with his cosmic fighting style.
- - - : Even though I'm not in my main body right now, my aura still surpasses yours.
The dark figure vanished instantly. Jack looked around while Bob searched rapidly. Suddenly, about 105 meters away, something massive crashed down, covering the area in dust as if an entire building had fallen.
But the thing that landed was that same dark figure standing perfectly upright.
Bob turned around, his eyes widening.

Jack asked tensely.
Jack: Who is that?
Bob answered, slightly shaken.
Bob: Hana Undead. The Demon of Immortality. She brought chaos years ago… but I thought Arthur killed her.
The body standing before them was merely a vessel created by Hana. She was controlling it from afar, and her goal was obvious to seize the Key carried by Liberty's bearer.
Hana: How much will you entertain me, little Key holder?
Jack spoke while his hands trembled.
