Raze.
Death was inevitable, they say. I was taught never to be afraid of it. They said the more you fear death, the more it hurts when it comes.
"Prince Raze…"
A familiar voice kept calling my name as I walked through the darkness I had fallen into. Everything around me was empty and cold. I could not see the ground beneath my feet. I did not even know if I was still walking or just floating.
The voice would not stop.
It kept pulling me, dragging me away from the dark. Someone did not want me to stay there.
I felt cold fingers wrap around my arm. My body felt heavy. My eyelids moved slowly, like they were carrying stones.
Light burst through my eyes and I quickly shut them again. It was too bright. Too sharp.
"Prince Raze, please wake up."
This time I heard Kael clearly.
Wake up?
Did that mean we were not dead? Or were we standing before the gods already? Was this the place where they judged souls?
