Solar speaks of the second thing in the bucket list, which is to enter the Dark Church to study dark art, sharing his stories with Lunar.
Solar: It's my first opportunity to meet the dark pope, when I was required to sign the contract in front of him. I signed the contract, joined the Dark side, and by the chance asked of the conditions to enter the Dark Church to study dark art.
Lunar never heard of anything about the outside news for almost five hundred years, showing great interest in anything about his stories.
Lunar: Tell me what did he reply to you?
Solar: He said that the Dark Church always opens for the ones who deserve to enter, and he wished I could deserve to enter the Dark Church to study dark art.
Lunar: How did he judge if you were qualified or not?
Solar: He commanded the space portal girl to take me to the lab. I was taken to the lab by the portal girl through space portal, as he commanded.
Lunar: What kind of lab it is?
Solar: She explained that the lab is not a secret experiment lab, but it is an official examination lab.
Lunar: What were you required to examine at the lab?
Solar: It's the first time that I met my doctor, who was in charge of my examination and abilities training. I was required to examine my blood, my clan, my abilities and my magic talent. After the examination, she reported the examination result to the dark pope, and offered me werewolf's abilities training.
Lunar: What kind of werewolf's abilities training were you offered?
Solar: She asked the space portal girl to take us to the colosseum, where magicians often visited to witness magic combats. We were not there to witness magic combats, we were there to engage in magic combats. She promised that she could write me an introduction letter to the Dark Church, if I agreed to engage in thirsty rounds of magic combats at the colosseum.
Lunar: That's madness to throw a freshman in magic combats without proper training! How could she demand you to do that?
Solar: To fight or not to fight, it's up to me to decide. She offered me an opportunity to win her introduction letter to the Dark Church, which I couldn't refuse.
Lunar: Did you agree to engage in magic combats at the colosseum?
Solar: Of course. It's the only one way to get her introduction letter to the Dark Church, and it's the only one way to practise my werewolf's abilities. How could I possibly miss my opportunities to get her introduction letter and practise my werewolf's abilities?
Lunar: I should have offered you an introduction letter to the Dark Church, before you left the forbidden forest. I didn't, because I thought the Dark Church wouldn't be too blind to ignore your talent on dark magic.
Solar: My talent on dark magic? Well. It's showed by the examination result that it's not as good as you expected. The doctor explained that I might inherit a thin blood from a powerful ancestor, but after many generations, it has become very thin, and it wouldn't offer me much magic talent on dark magic.
Lunar: You just activated your werewolf's blood, which was yet to grow strong enough. They would have missed an extraordinary student, if they didn't approve you to enter the Dark Church to study dark art. Tell me about the magic combats.
Solar: It's not the magic combat for a freshman, it's the magic combat for fighters. Most of fighters on the ring recognized no rules, they only recognized glory of victory. They were cruel to their enemies, and they were even crueller to themselves, because they lived their lives at the edge between life and death everyday. They never stopped fighting, as long as one side had breath to stand up, until the combat time was over.
Lunar: They were too strong for you, Solar. That's suicide!
Solar: Don't worry. I would have been another dead man at the colosseum, if I couldn't survive through this, but I'm still alive.
Lunar: How could you survive through this?
Solar: Well. It's just time limitation. Each round would be given one hour, and it would be over, until one side couldn't stand up, or time's over. I possessed with the ability of accelerated healing and regeneration, which allowed me to heal myself and survive through thirty suffering hours of getting beaten on the ring.
Lunar: I am the only person who's allowed to bully my student. I'll give them a lesson that they can't forget it, when I am out. How could that crazy woman do that to you?
Solar: It is not the doctor's command, it is the dark pope's. She explained that she's told by the dark pope to throw me in magic combats and test my potential. She said that she only expected me to fight three rounds, but my potential's beyond her imagination. She said that she would report my performance to the dark pope in truth, and I would be given an offer to the Dark Church instead of an introduction letter.
Lunar: What did the dark pope do to you, when your potential's beyond imagination?
Solar: The dark pope published my glorious fighting history on the official channel, and encouraged all church students to learn from me. Before I entered the Dark Church, my name was known by the whole magic world, and I was famed as the freshman who survived through thirsty rounds of magic combats at the colosseum.
Lunar: What happened next?
Solar: After thirsty suffering hours of getting beaten, I felt my tiredness in my body and in my mind. The doctor took my situation into consideration, and asked the portal girl to send me back home through space portal. I woke up from my bed, and found an offer at the bedside table, which silently told me that it's not an illusional dream.
Lunar: What brought you to the Dark Church without the portal girl's company?
Solar: The train that stopped at the platform nine and three fourths.
