Chapter 5 - Amy III

280 AC

Flea Bottom, Kings Landing.

A day after Davos left to find a sword.

Amy POV

Amy was doing her morning routine for fresh air, a circle around the block walk with her little gremlin Sam. Her "guards" shadowing them both. God, she hated what Bart was instilling into everybody. Men whose families were touched by her wanting to repay the kindness. She understood the fame of it all. But she couldn't get over the fact that she was the best kept secret in all these parts. Nobody wished to see harm come to her. She had asked Bart what about the ones with evil intentions, and Bart said, "Milady, you've healed their mothers. They might be grumpy fucks, but they know how to be thankful."

Amy had Sam holding her hands.

She was dressed wearing a large robe similar to her costume, but with garments much closer to Westerosi fabric. She had went for a mix of red and white, but she stood out too much, so she went for light brown. All the other people around wore dirty garments, where brown overpowered the other colours.

Sam was wearing her sigil on his chest. He had a small little cloak as well, similar to hers. She laughed aloud when she first saw him, rolling around on her bedroom floor while he was red with embarrassment. She reassured him it was cause he was adorable.

Her mind returning to the present, she was ruffling Sam's hair as she walked past a house when suddenly an elderly woman was throwing out clothes, shoes, the whole lot. A man in his 20's couldn't stop her. He was begging and pleading for her.

"Ma, im ye son! it's me, it's really me"

"I don't know ye, my son couldn't walk. Yar a demonspawn"

It slowly dawned on Amy. She had recognised the man as one of her really intensive patients. Intensive being on the verge of death, his spine severed from the waist down. She was bewildered he wasn't dead instantly. It took alot out of her to bring him back from the brink. She only did this for a few of the residents. She didn't know who they were.

Then Amy saw something deeply, deeply shocking. Amy saw this man jump high in the sky, well above what a normal human being could do. He had tried to get out of the way of a low swinging hit from the old lady, but instead he did this. He immediately knew he had done something wrong.

"Ma, ma.... don't... Ma please, im not a demon"

The elderly lady looked at him and dropped to her knees, reciting and mumbling prayers. She couldn't bear to look at her son. Sam was wide eyed too. The guards behind them were all wide eyed as they came closer due to all the commotion.

"Ma please.... Ma look at me"

The man had tried to grab the old lady, but she pushed him off, getting up and closing her door behind him. The man felt tears coming until he saw Amy. He saw a mix of anger and relief, but anger coming.

The guards all witnessed this too, stepping in front of her to block the man's advance.

"It's because of YOU!!! All of this is because of you! I lost work... I was good at the docks... till they saw me jump... by the gods, I was called demonspawn, birthed from the seven hells. I thought you were meant to save me. When I had that accident, you were the only one who could. SO WHY! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME THIS!"

She felt the venom in his words. One guard spoke, pushing him back a little.

"Watch ye fucking tone when speaking to the Lady, or ill fix it for ya"

Amy didn't know what to say. She was strapped for words. She knew her actions had consequences. Her very power was that so dangerous, you didn't know what you could get. But this, she didn't mean for him to lose everything. Amy felt deep shame. She was careless, deeply careless. When you want to do good, you should know all that it costs. Amy knows this, yet why did she not forsee this. Maybe her power, when strained, gives added strength, added bone tacicity, added tendon strength. She just couldn't know. She had saved the man by partially regrowing most of his leg limbs as well as his lower spine.

This was the great wake up call she needed. She was in a world where her actions could do great good and great bad, and she needed to be more careful. She will rectify that with this.

"It's okay guys, let me speak to him"

They parted, and the man was slumped to his knees, tears streaming down his face. Instead of rage, it was just worry. Amy could tell when someone was simply lost about their future, their life, and their purpose. She saw a great deal of her in those eyes.

"I am so very sorry this has all happened to you. You are right, i am to blame. I used my healing carelessly. I ask that you forgive me."

Amy bowed her head. The guards, Sam, and the man were shocked.

The man, not knowing what to do, slowly faltered.

"You don't have to milady. I shouldn't have jumped so much. Ya see, I just wanted to show me mates, and me boss fucking saw it. He was fucking scared. He called me demonspawn and told me to never return to the docks."

The man's tears came much more now.

"Milady, i just don't have anything now. No coin, no house, no wife, no children. I am less. Well and truly less"

Amy frowned at that. The man didn't understand how powerful super jumping was, as well as near invincible legs if he could handle the falls as well. Well, Amy needed a little side hobby on top of her other side hobbies. Super hero training some random guy wouldn't hurt. Giving hope and purpose was a nice little add on too.

"Well, do you want to join me? I mean, i am expanding the inn more, and it wouldn't hurt for you to meet Maria and Clement. Bart will get you right into shape, and D is out finding me a sword. You'll love D, hard as nails, but a softy inside. So well, what do you say?"

He was lost, till Sam finally spoke.

"Swear to her!"

"Sam! You know i don't want that"

"But milady, they don't understand join only swearing loyalty and that"

The man then finally spoke. He got up and then got back down to one knee.

"I, Art, will faithfully pledge me loyalty to Lady Dallon, forever and ever"

Sam was grinning gleefully. Amy was gonna whack him in the head a couple times for that. But she guessed the job was done. Now she wondered,

'its time to find the other intensive patients'
