The goblin locked onto Kai, and then with one kick of the ground, it blasted forward like a bullet, its speed reached almost twice what it was before.
"This isn't good, my current level even with the viewer buff is not enough to tank something like this, I'll have to wear it down slowly until its berserk ends." Kai thought of a plan fast.
The goblin was already close, it attacked with a massive overhead slash, aiming to end Kai quickly. Kai dodged, retreating very fast as the axe hit the ground below.
BOOM
It caused a massive explosion, debris was thrown everywhere. Kai landed a few feet away, he looked up and the goblin was already looking at him again, it hurled its mace at Kai.
Kai leaned backwards as he dodged the mace, watching it pass right over him, one hit from that and it would have been over.
The goblin charged at him while he was mid dodge.
"Watch out." Mira, who had been watching the entire thing so far, yelled. With her warning, Kai turned his head, he saw the goblin already close and attacking again. From the position he was, reacting would be very difficult, but he had to, he gritted his teeth.
He pulled his sword forward and blocked the attack from the goblin, the axe collided with his sword, Kai was instantly thrown back, his arms felt numb, his entire body rang from the force of the attack.
He landed on the ground hard, skidding backwards until he stopped. That hit alone had cut a good portion of his health, and it didn't even penetrate his body.
"So that's the strength of a berserker." Kai muttered, he looked up at the goblin that was ready to attack again.
"I'll have to go all out then." He said, gripping his sword tight, he charged ahead, using the butterfly dance like he had done before, only now, his understanding of it was deeper and far more refined. He moved like a butterfly, his steps though straight were hard to understand.
He got in range of the goblin and it attacked immediately, swinging down with full force. Kai dodged to the side with ease, then charged ahead, thrusting his sword for the chest.
The goblin reacted, it pulled back instantly and then gripped his battle axe with both hands, swinging down at Kai. Kai instantly threw his sword over his shoulder, parrying the attack, the axe slid down the sword and hit the ground. Kai found the opportunity to close the distance and attack, he stabbed again, not even looking for a weak point, he stabbed directly into the metal of the armor.
Pouring all his strength into the attack, the tip of the sword penetrated the armor of the goblin, stabbing into the flesh behind, blood instantly gushed out through the slit.
Kai pulled his blade out as fast as he could and then retreated because he knew that the goblin would attack. The goblin, filled with pain and rage, swung wildly, Kai managed to dodge and then put some distance between them very fast.
RAWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
The goblin roared in rage and anger, the pain from the wounds had started getting to it. He planted his foot and launched forward.
It barely got in range before slashing at Kai. Kai backed up very quickly and dodged the attack, then he pressed his foot against the ground and attacked again, thrusting at another opening, his sword penetrated the armor again, stabbing into the monster, blood gushed out again.
Kai pulled his sword and backed away very quickly. The goblin staggered, its berserker state was wearing off now.
Kai looked at the health bar and more than forty percent was gone, which was pretty good considering the fact that the goblin was in berserker state.
The state finally wore off and its life bar returned back to normal, and nearly eighty percent of its life was gone, and the bleeding effect immediately took effect.
Kai looked at the goblin and then smiled, "You fought pretty well, sadly your enemy was me." Kai said, he charged again.
The goblin slashed down, Kai dodged easily and then went for the head, slashing with all his strength.
SLASH!
The blade cleaved the head clean off. It landed on the ground with a thud, and the body followed, hitting the ground hard while Kai stood there.
He took a sharp breath after the goblin died, that battle had turned harder than he had expected. The goblin's body vanished and something was left behind.
Kai noticed the drops and walked toward them, there was a green gem on the ground, as well as a small book.
Drops rarely happened, but when they did, it would normally be from special monsters, like bosses, they did show up for lesser monsters, but it would mostly be after a long duration of monster farming.
The best place to gather drops from inside the game was actually dungeons, the chances were exponentially higher there.
Kai picked up the gem, and used appraisal on it.

"Basic." Kai thought, then he picked the book.

Kai was stunned by the find. Classes couldn't really be chosen, but the actions that one took long before level ten could narrow the ground, and make you get what you want.
The issue was that many newbies didn't have the money to specialize, so they did things at random, and ended with random classes at the end of the day.
If Kai wanted the berserker class, he could easily use this book, it was a very rare drop.
"If I sell this, I could actually get some good amount of coins," he thought to himself. He could actually sell it for physical money, but he didn't want to come off to his viewers as someone in it for the money alone.
