Chapter 1 - The Moon Princess

One Chapter – Complete Story

Far beyond the clouds and stars, there existed a silent and shining kingdom called the Moon Realm. Its land glowed like silver, and the sky was always calm. In this realm lived Princess Luna, the only princess of the moon.

Princess Luna was born from moonlight itself. She had the rare power to control lunar light, a magic that kept balance between the Moon and the Earth. While the Moon Realm admired her beauty and power, Luna's heart belonged to somewhere else.

Every night, she stood at the edge of the moon and watched the Earth below.

She wondered how humans, so small and fragile, could feel such deep love, pain, and hope.

One night, disaster struck.

The Moon Crystal, the source of all lunar energy, began to crack. Without it, the moon would lose its light, and the oceans on Earth would fall into chaos. The Moon King called Luna to the crystal hall.

"There is only one way," he said softly.

"To save both worlds, you must go to Earth and release all your moonlight. But once you do, you will lose your immortality forever."

Luna felt fear—but she did not hesitate.

"If my light can protect Earth," she said, "then it is worth the sacrifice."

Life on Earth

Luna arrived on Earth as a human girl.

She felt cold nights, hunger, and exhaustion for the first time. Yet she also experienced kindness, laughter, and love—things she had only observed from afar.

As the Moon Crystal's cracks grew wider, the final night arrived.

Standing beneath the open sky, Luna looked up at the moon that had been her home.

"This is my goodbye," she whispered.

She released every drop of moonlight within her. The sky turned bright white, the Moon Crystal healed, and balance returned to Earth. The oceans calmed. The night survived.

Luna collapsed.

A New Dawn

When morning came, Luna opened her eyes.

She was alive—but she was no longer a princess. Her magic was gone. She was human now.

She smiled and looked at the sky one last time.

"I lost the moon," she said quietly,

"but I found my life."

Since that day, people say that when the moon shines brighter than usual, it is not just light—it is the memory of a princess who chose sacrifice over a crown.
