It had taken little to convince this little rascal I was his dad.
Arthuro Dante Moretti bounced in my arm, perfect blue eyes, dark hair slicked back in a small bun.
He would be a bloody heartbreaker when he grew up.
"Dad, do I get to see Grandpa today?"
I knew Jemma or Gia, or maybe my wife, had put him up to this little task.
"Mmm," I pressed a finger to my jaw in fake thought.
I didn't want him to see Dante Moretti.
At least not in that state. But we had no idea what was going to happen next.
Dante had been going in and out of coma the past months.
I knew it would happen anytime soon.
We just had no idea when, and I fucking wasn't going to put him to sleep no matter how many times the thoughts nagged at me.
"Say something, Daddy!" Arthuro whined, pulling my arm.
I stepped out from the study. "Yeah, today might be a great day."
"Does that mean I get to see Grandpa?"
