I had been up all night, staring at my phone as Daniel's voicemail message played again and again.
"I love you. That's real. We're real."
But I couldn't call him back. Not yet. Not until I realized what I really wanted.
The trouble was, I no longer knew.
By morning, I had come to a decision: I needed to tell Daniel this in person. Tell him about Jayce, tell him about the kiss, tell him everything. But by the time I arrived on campus at eight in the morning, it had all gone to hell.
