I'm thinking of having a main character that has multiple character arcs, but i don't know a way to make it seem consistent and not just randomly remove layers of character depth. Like the Mc of a story i've been on and off with, went through character changes to the point where the first chapter mc compared to 100+ chapter mc is like night and day difference but it still feels like the same character, I want that, but idk how to write it.
